PROFESSIONAL PROFILE
Technically accomplished & competent professional with over 9+ years' rich experience on Refinery Inspection department Activities, starting from Refinery construction stage to pre-commissioning and Normal operation. Currently working as Assistant Manager (Inspection) with Numaligarh Refinery, Assam. Executed different Inspection department activities related to plant commissioning, Shutdowns and plant operational problems from time to time. Core member of teams that successfully executed projects for commissioning of Crude & Vacuum Distillation Plant, Delayed Coker Unit, Hydrogen Unit, Hydro Cracker Unit, CCU and MS Unit across the tenure with the organisation. Inspection department Team leader during RTA 05 for Hydrocracker and Hydrogen Unit. Executed Inspection Activities related to Hi-pressure equipment like – Breecklock exchangers, Hi-pressure fin fan coolers, piping, Iso Cracking reactors repair activities etc etc. Proven record of successfully carrying out failure analysis related to different process equipment, recommendations forwarded and implementation. REFINERY PLANT MONITORING AND INSPECTION ACTIVITIES
1. Experience in Daily Monitoring of Process Unit Heaters / Reformer / Boilers - tube skin temperature and flame pattern and releasing of daily report.
2. Plant Monitoring - process equipment and pipeline for any vibration, support dislodgement, leaks and online ultrasonic thickness gauging if required and reporting in daily report.
3. Reporting repair procedure and action to be taken for any observation made during daily monitoring.
4. Carrying out required NDT during maintenance / project job.
5. Acceptance of PSV / TSV calibration as per API standard.

Commissioning / Trouble Shooting / Shut down experience.
1. Core member of Refinery commissioning team during 1998-99. Carried out through Inspection of process unit static equipment like – column internals, Vessels, Reactors, Exchangers, Heaters, piping etc etc.
2. Core member of major issues addressed during commissioning of Refinery process units like – Bubble Cap failure of Hydrocracker unit Reactor, Off spec bolting in Hydrocracker unit pipelines, PMI for pipelines, Vacuum column internal failure, Hydrocracker Unit Fractionator column internal failure, Hydrogen Unit surge drum failure etc.
3. Core member for Failure Analysis of Cooling water related Heat Exchangers and pipe line failure.
4. Case study reported on vibration of Flare header during emergency shutdown.
5. Established reasons for failure of Fire water network piping.
6. Repair of storage tank top shell course.
7. Attended various shutdowns since 1999 in NRL, also shutdown at BPCL – Mumbai during 1999.
8. Major activities during shutdown includes - modification of vacuum column internals, Repair of Utility Boiler Economiser, Flare tip repair, NDT for Breechlock exchangers and inspection, Inspection and repair of Hi-pressure fin fan cooler of Hydrocracker Unit, Inspection and repair of Hydrocracker unit Reactor during catalyst change, Inspection and NDT for Hydrogen Unit Pressure Sink Vessel during catalyst change, Inspection of Hydrogen Unit Cold collector, Inspection of Reformer Tubes Metallography & Ultrasonic Attenuation Testing, Ultrasonic flaw detection for Hi-Pressure equipment.
