Work Description

* PDS administration, Complete project setup and support on multiple large scale projects using PDS 7.2, 7.1,7.0 and 6.4 Microstation V8/J/SE, PDS Piping specifications and RDB Support, Report Development, Isogen setup and support, INTools support, SmartPlant Review Administration, Piping Assemblies, IPlot Server / Client setup and administration, Oracle Database Creation/Design and tuning, software evaluation, purchasing and integration and various other project duties.

* Support of applications from Intergraph mainly in Plant Design System, giving support and maintenance to PDS modules such as PD_Project, PD_Design, PD_Eqp, PD_Iso & Isogen, PD_Report, PD_Draw, PD_Data, RIS, EE_Raceway and Design Review. Database (RDB) support (Oracle), Microstation V8/J/SE support, and general PDS administrative duties.

* Also involves in the installation and administrations of 2D and 3D engineering design CAD software such as Intergraph PDS, Microstation of Bentley, CAESAR II, OrthoGen and OrthoView of 3DS, E-Draw for PDS, Plant Design Instrumentation (INtools), SmartPlant P&ID, and other 3D Design and Visualization modeling tools and 2D drafting tools.

Other Key Responsibilities

* Maintain Microsoft Windows Servers and network systems assist with hardware refresh, and help in maintaining the technical systems setups in accordance with the standard.

* Really strong personal computing skills, including:
- Administration of multiple operating systems and architectures;
- knowledge of client/server technologies, transaction processing systems,
- advanced knowledge of computer systems installation, troubleshooting, problem determination and restoration techniques.

* Carry out day-to-day operations, address user requests, and perform any troubleshooting to maintain the applications and systems, e.g. ensuring Application backups have taken and run successfully, maintaining the License Servers/Manager, upgrading/updating licenses, and maintaining network connectivity to other sites for global license sharing.

* Carry out regular systems maintenance, administration and monitoring. Maintain the directory structure (and disk space) in accordance with company standard, and assist with any data loading requirements.

* Write programs and/or scripts to automate daily tasks.
Ensure corporate data are secure. Understand requirements of new projects and assist implementation as necessary.

* Excellent communication skills and expertise in dealing with user problems, customer service, supplier relationships.

* Liaise with Intergraph, Bentley, Autodesk, Aveva (Cadcentre) and 3DS for licenses and resolving PDS, Microstation, AutoCAD, PDMS, OrthoGen and OrthoView problems respectively.

* Perform Backup Storage Management of the Company using Computer Associate's BrightStore ArcServe Software.
