35 years experience in drilling fluids: 25 years with Baroid, starting as a Mud Engineer, working in Libya, Egypt, Turkey, advancing to Chief Engineer, Baroid Pacific Operations, based in Singapore, covering Southeast Asia, China, Taiwan, Australia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, and continuing as International Drilling Fluids Engineer supervising projects in Nigeria, Tunisia, Spain, Pakistan, Venezuela, and Mexico. For the last 10 years, I have been self-employed as an independent Drilling Fluids Consultant on special projects in Cabinda/Angola, Russia, Albania and deep-water projects in the Gulf of Mexico. Throughout my career, I have worked to improve and have developed several new drilling fluids, workover systems, and cuttings processing.
