Work performed:
Monitoring and inspection the erection activity for mechanical (static and dynamic) equipment performed by Contractor Saipem-Alstom Consortium.
In principal it were installed 2 GT (Gas Turbine) along with 2 HRSG (Heat recovery Steam generator) and one ST (Steam turbine) with their related units and packages. Apart of the main Power Plant units and packages it was erected a BOP (Balance Of Plant) that consists of Utility Units like: Closed Cooling Water Systems, Raw Water Tank and Distribution System, Demin Water Plant and Demin Water Tank Storage and Distribution System, Instrument and Service Air Unit, Fire Fighting Systems, etc. Also was erected a Receiving Gas Unit composed of Separator Unit (Slag Catchers, Scrubbers), Reducing and Measuring Unit, Pig Launching/Receiving Unit and Blow Down System (K.O. Drum, Cold Vent/Flare Stack).
The major activities performed were mainly but not limited to the ones as following:
-Supervision and field engineering inspection in the area of mechanical works ensuring these are implemented in accordance with design documentation and company's procedures.
-Monitoring and control of contractors in the execution of the mechanical/piping works and verify that all components are installed in accordance with the approved design and installation procedures.
-Performing the walk down inspection for mechanical parts of Turn Over Packages for Mechanical Completion and prepared Punch Lists for the correction actions to items not according to the project documents and specifications.
-Performing inspections and tests for the static and dynamic equipments including also Testing (Hydraulic and/or Pneumatic) of piping systems.
-Attended the Progress Meetings with the Contractors for Mechanical discipline with correctional actions for the target completion.
