Job Responsibilities
To achieve the Production Target, maintaining the Specific Consumption Ratios by:-
¨ Leading a team of Engineers and Technicians, coordinating the overall Operation and Maintenance of the Process Plant and its associated Utilities
¨ Supervise the Operation and Control of the Process and Utilities through DDCS
¨ Monitor Start-up and Shutdown activities, ensuring adherence to the procedures
¨ Trouble shoot operational problems and continuously monitor plant performance & quality though Management Information Systems (MIS) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)
¨ Co-ordinate with the Service Departments, ensuring safe work procedures and timely completion of maintenance and service activities to minimize downtime
¨ Act as the Chief Emergency Coordinator, lead the crew in stopping the emergency and preventing it from escalating
¨ Assist the Head of Department in Reports generation, ISO Documentation and in Training
¨ Maintain Log of all the shift activities and represent the Head of Department in his absence
¨ Material Management and Man Power Planning for smooth functioning of the plant

¨ Suggested to recycle raw material wasted through process vents, back to Storage area with a simple modification without plant shutdown – implemented successfully resulting in appreciable decrease in Specific Consumption
¨ Suggested to recover raw material loss through compressor packing, back to its suction -implemented successfully reducing the loss to about 20%
¨ Studied and reduced product slippage in Purification Units by modifying the operational parameters
¨ Suggested to recover the excess heat produced in the De-Oxidation Unit for Nitrogen, because of the increased Oxygen load without changing the existing Catalyst
