WORK EXPERIENCE
Joined in ONGC on 3rd October, 1981 as Asstt. Executive engineer(Drilling) and posted at Assam, Eastern Region of India.
1981 – 1984:
 Worked as Shift In charge and Rig In charge in Mechanical, electrical and Romanian rigs of type-I, type-II and type-III.
 Worked in all field of Eastern Sector of India like, Lakwa, Galeky, Rudrasagar, DVP, Cachar and silchar. Worked to the best satisfaction of self and superiors.
 Attained a good command in all drilling and completion operations (depth range from 2500 – 4500 mts.).
1984 – 1990:
 Self was selected out of 60 batch mates by the higher officers to attend training in directional drilling at Texas Houston, USA and attended same in 1984.
 Served in ONGC as Directional Driller and I/C. Directional Drilling and drilled more than 200 directional wells at Eastern Region, Assam, Horizontal Drift ranges from 100 to 1500 mts.
 Side tracking the well Sonari – 1 in 8 ½" phase during the year 1986-87 at depth of 3400 mts. After section milling of 9 5/8" casing around 25 mts in a milestone.
 Self is one of the responsible officer in switching over mode of recording Directional Survey from Russian Sangina- Kolina method and introduced American NL-Sperry-Sun method at Assam, India.
 Taken active part in introducing "cluster locations" drilling at Eastern Region, Assam. Maximum 6 wells drilled from a single cluster, hence minimizing the cost of land acquisition and Rig Building.
 Introduced long reach directional drilling profile at Koraghat, DVP by working and interacting with work representatives from schlumberger and drilled 2 wells at Koraghat with HD ranging from 1000 – 1500 mts. At TVD 2000-2500 mts.
 Introduced jetting deflection technique first time in Eastern Region at Demalgaoh field and adopted subsequently in all other fields of Eastern Region.
 Selected and undergone training at USSR in super deep drilling techniques in 1986 for three months. Acquainted with different types of casing policies and method of lowering casing both in conventional and non-conventional sizes.
1990 – 2000
 Transferred from ERBC to SRBC, K.G. Project, locations which are situated in coastal and central Andhra Pradesh, India with high temperature and high pressure variations where self established Directional Drilling cell at Project level in Rajahmundry Head Quarters.
 Completed PSP #8 and Mandapet#5 wells successfully under my supervision which were under complications for last so many days. HD of PSP#8 and MDP#5 were 0.8 and 1.5 KM respectively at TVD of 2500 and 3500 mts. respectively.
 Side tracked the deep well Bhavadevarapalli#1 in 17 ½" phase with a gap of 3.9 mtrs. successfully where casing got parted at 500m.
 Introduced cluster locations drilling at K.G. Project, Rajahmundry which reduced the cost per meter and land acquisition and Rig building.
 Establishing Tech. Cell in addition to Directional Drilling cell in K.G. Project which is responsible for well planning, design, bit selection, documentation and operation monitoring while drilling the well.
 As a member of Bit committee conducted a detailed study on drill bits and log data of drilled wells in 1994-95. Made a presentation before board for bit evaluation and recommendation of suitable bits for different wells at different locations.
 Practically made different trial test of drill bits in different fields and established suitability of bits for different depths so as to minimize rig days and cost.
 Well experienced in designing drilling and completions programme of wells of shallow and deeper depth ranging from 2000 – 4500 M. and high temperature and high pressure variations of order 350-400 degree F. and hyd + 10% - 90% respectively.
 Designed many wells in Amalapuram mud loss prone structures with high pressure of order Hyd + 60% with a suitable casing policy to drill the wells up to T.D. successfully.
 Established blind drilling technique while drilling at mud loss prone zone ( lime stone) in Amalapuram structures.
2000-2003
 Day to day monitoring & guiding different operations of 8 drilling rigs from drilling to completions successfully.
 Attending operations when the rigs are in operational crisis.
 Design and monitoring of directional wells and rig deployment as and when required.
 Well planning, GTO preparation of all locations taken up for drilling.
2003 TO TILL DATE
 transferred to Eastern India, Agartala and posted as installation manager for the rig E-1400-XIV.
 to attend complicated well drilling operations in any other rigs of the project as and when requires.
