I am a member of the engineering leadership team for bp's operations across Azerbaijan, Georgia and Turkey. I lead a large team of multi-disciplined engineering experts providing specialist technical assurance and support. I have previously held operational leadership roles within bp's assets in the UK & Middle East and over the past 19 years, have accumulated significant experience in most aspects of operations and engineering management.

Career Profile:

2005 - Azerbaijan Facilities Engineering Team Leader

I am presently working in an engineering leadership role as the Facilities Technical Support Team Leader. I lead a large team (20+) of multi-disciplined engineering experts who provide specialist technical assurance and support for bp's E&P operations throughout Azerbaijan, Georgia and Turkey. I presently manage a budget of £8 million. I represent the engineering community on the Operations Management Team.

2003 - 2005 Operations Advisor, BP Sharjah Oil Company
Reported to the Managing Director with accountability for advice and coaching of the Operations Leadership Team. I specifically delivered short-term performance management and strategic planning/optimisation improvements. I also managed the Operations Excellence Team in the implementation of operational best practices from within BP network. I also successfully delivered the following:

Turnaround Manager - delivered the first turnaround in 20 years operation covering the LPG Terminal & 2 LPG Trains - primary scope being 34 vessel inspections. Managed the EPC Contract to value of £5 million on time and within budget.

Maximo Upgrade Project Manager - delivered major improvements to the maintenance management & supply chain processes (including full warehouse inventorying). Managed project costed at £800,000 to schedule and within budget.

1999 - 2003 Offshore Operations Engineer (OOE) & Installation Manager (OIM)
BP Exploration, Southern North Sea.
Fulfilled OOE role for 18 months progressing to OIM for 3 years in position. Personal accountability for health, safety & welfare of all platform crew. Overseeing operations for 2 manned and 16 normally unmanned installations, with production of circa 900mmscf of natural gas. Supervision of circa 100 multi-discipline platform and contracting personnel. Personal responsibility for a £15m manpower and fieldwide services budget.

1997 - 1999 Shift Site Manager, BP Chemicals, Hull.
Responsible on behalf of Deputy Works General Manager for site-wide co-ordination and management of all aspects of Hull Site operations on shift by shift basis. Principal responsibilities for safe/reliable operation, environmental management, Site Emergency
Controller, respond to external enquiries/complaints and provide monitoring and assurance role for Site Standards. Supervisory responsibility for 10 supervisors and 60 technicians on the shift across the complex.
