Professional Achivements
* Overhauling of NUVO PIGNONE make compressors & Siemens turbine in M/S PIC Kuwait, under deputation from SPIC Tuticorin.
* Overhauling of TB 5000 RUSTON GAS TURBINE was carried out and the problem of Operating temperature high was studied and solved.
* Carried out the PG-PL & Trisen Governer conversion from VOR & HOR (Hydraulic) governors in Westinghouse turbines in Ammonia Plant.
* Indigenization of the couplings in Compressor house equipments from oil lubricated gear coupling to shear plate couplings to improve the reliability.
* Seal oil Carry over problem in the LRC Compressor was studied and solved during the overhauling of the compressor.
* Perennial high vibration problem in SA Blower turbine (Hiro -Zoki make, 1500 KW, 5000 RPM ) was solved and the vibration level was brought down to the acceptable level.
* Planned and executed the erection and commissioning of rotary equipments in Ammonia plant during capacity enhancement.
* As the task force leader, Job safety analysis for the maintenance jobs was carried out and was instrumental in achieving British safety council's Five star awards certification.
* Independently carried out the spares planning and manpower planning including contract fixing, expatriate arrangement, technical clarification for spares procurement, preliminary job schedule preparation and bill settlement for the contract jobs for the ATA 2000 (Budget: USD 1 million) of IJC's, (Jordan) 2000 T/D Monsanto Process, SA plant with 12.8 MW Co-generation plant & Turbo- blower unit and 700 T/D Hydro Agri process, PA plant in addition to the Capacity augmentation of Turbo-blower turbine Dresser-rand make, 4392 KW, 9569 rpm and re-gasketting of VICARB, ALFA-LAVAL make plate heat exchangers.
* Work procedure for the maintenance functions in IJC was prepared for ISO 9002 and achieved the same without any non-conformities.
