Summary
Degreed chemical engineering with an Engineer-In-Training certification and two years of process engineering experience. He has to deal with P&IDs, mechanical design information and specification for typical unit operations, eletrical one-line diagrams, and piping isometrics in performing process safety analysis for major domestic and foreign oil and gas companies, such as Lyondell-Citgo, Petronas, Saudi Aramco, Shell, Conoco Phillips, Marathon, Exxonmobil, and Albian Muskeg River Mine. He has a solid understanding of chemical/process engineering concepts and intimate knowledge of industry and corporate standards regarding pressure relief system and vessel design (ASME, API, and DIERS). He uses several process simulations such as Aspen Plus, Aspen HYSYS, FlareSim, and PHAST to generate heat and material balances, perform radiation and/or dispersion analysis, and simulate overpressure scenarios on various process equipments. He also has to interact with clients on a daily basis to communicate any problems that may arise during the projects and/or recommend any resolutions or action plan preparation for those problems.

He had a past experience of starting a new office for his employer in Malaysia – trained and mentored several engineers to use process simulation and relief device sizing software, perform quality check, and manage projects sent from US or generated locally. He had some experiences with several programming languages (Fortran, Matlab, C, and Visual Basic) and process simulations (Labview and Chemcad) during his undergraduate study. He is also able to speak fluently in Bahasa Indonesia and decently in Bahasa Malaysia.
