„± This plant is having a capacity of 65,000 TPA production facilities with around 4500 Tons of equipments and around 400,000 inch dia piping work.
„± Working for various approval required for this project and contract preparation for complete due diligence of the plant technology and know-how.
„± Working on FEED and Dismantling activities
„± Additionally Projects being handled for Production Increase in existing plant like Conversion of Washing Machine to improve quality and reduce energy cost, Various Energy Saving Schemes, Conversion of Batch type conditioners to continuous type, Increase in Production capacity and capability to produce New Products by modifying existing equipments.
Distinctive Highlights;
„± Instrumental in effectuating the 1st Expansion project in 2004 within budget which was 50% of similar project executed in 1997; successfully reduced the project duration from 13 months to 10.5 months. Project duration reduced from 13 months to 10.5 months and 9 months, 9 days thereby add extra revenue for the Company
„± Managed a team of different level people without any constraints thereby achieving the target.
„± Completed execution of expansion project in 2005 within a budget similar to earlier and reduced the duration further to 9 months which is benchmark in this type of industry.

o Liaised with equipment manufacturing vendors like Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Japan, GEA Kestner France, Autefa Germany, Gualchierani Italy, National Drying Machinery USA, Wolverine Proctor and Schwartz UK, Netzsch Germany, Goulds Korea, Nikkiso Japan, Sulzer India, L&T India, KSB India and Germany, Kirloskar Pnuematics India to ensure completion of manufacturing within the target time.
o Inspection of equipments at vendor's site for final dispatch of equipments.
o Verification of Piping Design, Piping Layouts, Support details, Material Take off for pipes and fittings.
o Managed procurement of Pipes and fittings for 2 Acrylic Fibre expansion projects in Thailand and 1 project in Egypt from China, Thailand, India, Taiwan, Malaysia, and Singapore.
o Preparation of Project Schedules using Microsoft Project.
o Preparation of Contracts and Project Specifications.
o Preparation of Technical and Commercial Bid Analysis.
o Co-ordinated complete Construction activities of all disciplines including micro level planning and control of Construction by Contractors. This includes various hooks up with the existing plant without affecting production. Piping also includes working in hazardous area taking care of all safety issues. Supervised Mechanical Construction activities inclusive of erection of 1700 Tons of equipments and 220,000 inch dia piping erection including approval of field design changes, final measurement of piping and insulation and their reconciliation.
o Attained reduction in Mechanical erection time from 7 months to 3 months; completed erection of spinning line within 20 days which used to take 3-4 months.
o Prepare & issue of Project Reports and inform periodically Top Management on Project Progress and any short falls.
o Directed Pilot Plant facility for R & D activities; it was implemented in-house after design & development of equipments; basic engineering & detail engineering, procurement of all items; Project is in erection stage and is expected to complete by end August.
o Carried out Technical Evaluation for acquiring and relocating Acrylic Fibre Plants SASOL - South Africa, Solutia - USA and Fisipe - Spain.
