For over the past twenty-five years, I have been actively involved in both well site and operations geology and, to a lesser extent, the drilling engineering aspects of the petroleum industry. I have had substantial exposure to exploration and development projects both offshore and land based with an emphasis in the areas of directional and horizontal drilling. Also I have a background in projects involving bit optimization procedures and enhanced drilling assessments.
Additionally, I hold a degree in the field of education and am a certified teacher with formal teaching experience. I have been involved in numerous industrial training programs and have a background in marketing and sales.
A review of my particulars, with respect to both your company's current and future endeavors, would be most appreciated. I am willing to offer my services as either a well site geologist or as an operations geologist. My preferences lean towards international assignments with rotational scheduling.

Wellsite-Operations Geologist / Group Supervisor
Arabian Gulf Oil Company, Benghazi, Libya (1990 - Present)
Responsible for geological operations throughout the Sirte and Gadames basins of Libya. Oversee an immediate staff of six as well as onsite contractors. Rig volume commonly in excess of five.
Participate in enhanced oil production programs involving the drilling of numerous horizontal wells.
Supervision of bids for core analysis; contractor selection; determination of analytical services; liaise with overseas laboratories, expediting materials and maintaining operating inventories.
Co-ordination of data acquisition for field studies, monitoring of progress reports and associated invoicing.
Written and verbal presentations to management. Implementation of long term training programs, involving nationals.

Independent Consultant Geologist
Offshore/Onshore Wellsite Supervision, East Coast/Western Canada (1978 - 1990)
Contracted by Mobil Oil Canada Ltd. and Husky Oil Operations Ltd., providing geological consulting services for offshore exploration activities on the east coast of Canada. These offshore services spanned a ten year period.
Responsible for determination of high pressure hydrocarbon reservoirs and geopressured zones, evaluating electric logs for testing and fluid analysis, establishing pressure gradients and fracture gradient limitations, cutting and shooting of cores, microscopic examination of rock cutting for lithology interpretation.
Supervision of computerized mud logging systems and personnel. Implementation of logistics related to operations.
Daily written distribution and verbal communication of project data to various interests throughout Canada.
Independently prepared and presented formal technical reports for numerous projects.
Client relations and marketing of services. Conducted training programs for company personnel sent to the East Coast area.
Contracted from March 1988 to May 1989 by the drilling and engineering departments of Husky Oil Operations Ltd. Responsible for the development of a database system and drafted graphic presentations designed for bit optimization in East Coast offshore exploration projects.
From 1978 to 1980 contracted to Hudson's Bay Oil and Gas and various other Calgary-based oil companies.
Worked in a wide variety of geological environments throughout the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin.
