SUMMARY OF QUALIFICATIONS
An enthusiastic and self motivated Production and Process Engineer, with experience on production optimization and surface equipment designing and evaluation, focused on maximizing asset production capacity and productivity in the oil and gas industry. The experience of Production and Process Engineer has enabled me to collaborate and integrate multidisciplinary teams that, with a holistic and probabilistic approach generate Field Development Plans with high certainty, based on risk and uncertainty analysis for the decision making.
WORK EXPERIENCE
May 2006 to
Oct 2007 Senior Production Consultant, Halliburton, Villahermosa, Mexico.
* Analyzing with a multidisciplinary team and asset engineers, rapid evaluation of multiple field plans scenarios for potential growth and development opportunities combined with economics and risk analysis using DMS software. This include the selection of the best option for artificial lift system of gas and light oil wells, evaluation of horizontal wells potential of the naturally fractured carbonate reservoir, production flow tests analysis to characterize IPR curves and vertical flow optimization (including flow assurance).
* Providing technical assistance of the application DSS to monitor existing well production and reservoir behavior for gas & oil fields (Gulf of Mexico).
Aug 2005 to
April 2006 Production Engineer, Mexican Oil Institute, Villahermosa, Mexico.
* I have participated on "Well Productivity Enhancement in South of Mexico Fields" Data acquisition (production data, well files, PVT, wellbore diagrams, production history, etc). Data analysis (behavior of Pressure and Production, well test analysis, review of petrophysical data and fluid movement maps).
* Also participated with customers in establishing process facility objectives and process selection criteria to best meet business needs and evaluation of process alternatives.
Feb. 2004 to
August 2004 Process Engineer, Inelectra, Maracaibo, Venezuela.
* I have participated in Conceptual and Basic process design work with Shell customers in a "Gas Compression Extension Area Project" developing PFD's and P&ID's, heat & material balances, equipment data sheets and sizing (pumps, compressors, heat exchangers & separators).<
* Also participated with Chevron customers in the "Gas and water handling project" of a heavy oil field, in establishing the operation schemes under emergency situations in the oil & gas networks or due by changes on the normal conditions of it, through system analysis, simulation and optimization.
July 2002 to
Feb. 2003 Process Engineer PDVSA E&P, Lagunillas, Venezuela.
* Provide of the inventories and characteristics of orifice meters equipment and gas installation, mainly through field inspection and installation data base updating to support the estimation of gas metering balance of the asset. Also improve orifice meters design.
* Development of environment, hygiene and security standards operational procedure for starting-up a pumping platform.
Jun. 2001 to
Jul. 2002 Production Engineer, PDVSA E&P, Maracaibo, Venezuela.
* Participated being part of a Reservoir Integrated Study. Accomplishments include:
o Well analysis, design and optimization of production systems: Nodal analysis, gas lift design, inflow performance, production methods & log (PLT, flow meter).
o Field production optimization study, using EPS software (FieldFlo and WellFlo), well productivity analysis: well- bore deposits (scaling, wax, paraphins) for well potential generation.
o Revision of: reservoir geological, problems associated with drilling fluid, reology, drilling and bit hydraulics, IADC evaluation. BHA design (drill collar & pipe, etc)
Jul. 1999 to
Mar. 2000 Research Trainee and Internship, PDVSA E&P, Maracaibo, Venezuela.
* Worked as part of a Coating systems study for high temperature immersion services in heavy oil tanks and neutralization pool. Standardization and interpretation of painting system of saline fog camera test.
