GASCO Abudhabi's ABICS Project (Asab and Bab NGL Extraction Plant Integrated Control System Project) (US $70 Million Project)
Project Description: Revamping - ICS Engineering, Field Engineering and hot loop transfer, as per SHELL standards and GASCO's requirement to maintain the existing functionality.

Design Engineering Activities - I participated in the following activities related to design engineering:

„« Complete study of ITB documents and applicable standards. Study of Existing documents for systems including local panels to update/modify the existing database.
„« Restructuring of IPS-DCS database as per the new ¡* SIL¡¨ levels.
Regrouping/renaming of FGS database to maintain the consistency.
„« Preparation of cause and effect diagrams (logics) as per IPF study and applicable DEP-standard for IPS.
„« Preparation of DCS control sequences by using existing relay panel's schematics, operating procedures and across the table discussion with GASCO for enhancement.
„« Preparation of Typical loop schematics and Point configuration database for system vendor.
„« Review and approval of Control system vendor's Engineering Documentation.

„« I was also providing technical help to the lawyers for the arbitration proceedings between Lentjes and Nirma i.e. compilation of documents which shows delays attributed to Nirma, and the deviation between contract specification and the actual job executed in terms of design, supply and use of fuels and the damages sustained by the boilers due to the use of wrong fuels and the damages sustained by the boilers.
