Have more than fifteen (15) years of professional associations with ENAR Petrotech Services (Private) Limited (EPSL) and gained experience in the Project Management and Detailed Engineering Design.
During my stay in EPSL from June 1993 to present, I have been involved in projects of local as well as multinational companies. In addition, have experience in inspection of Oil & Gas plants as per relevant codes and standards

EPSL is an Engineering consulting organization providing Basic Engineering Design, Detail Engineering Design and Project Management services to up streams and down-streams of Oil, Gas and Petrochemical sector of Pakistan. Major clients include BP, OMV, MOL, OGDCL, NRL, BPL, APL, PARCO, PPL, CALTEX, SHELL, PSO, OGRA etc.

I have excellent knowledge of engineering design codes such as ASME, NFPA, API, ANSI, MSS, etc. I also have excellent knowledge P&ID's, Mechanical, Process, Civil, Structure, Electrical, and Instrumentation Engineering drawings & Documents.

EXPERIENCE

1. ENAR Petrotech Services (Private) Limited (June 1993 – To date)

* Enar Petroleum Refining Facility II (Dec. 06 - to date)

Project Manager for the grass root pilot refinery project, this project involves the basic and detailed engineering design of process unit, off sites & utilities, procurement, construction and commissioning.

* Inspection of LPG Plants for Oil & Gas Regulatory Authority(OGRA) (Sep.05 – to date)

Supervising a team of engineers for the inspections of different plants. Project involves collection of technical data / documentation, visual inspection of plant and facilities, assessment of plants for compliance of Codes/ standards and compilation of inspection report.

PROJECTS HANDLED

* Bosicor Pakistan Limited's CDU revamp Project (Dec. 05 - to Dec. 2006)

Project Manager for the CDU unit revamp project, this project involves the development of Engineering Design Specification (EDS) packages for process unit, off sites and utilities.

* Dhodak Expansion Project (OGDCL) (Feb. 05 to Nov. 05)

Project manager for the development of FEED documents for EPC Contractor. This project involves the relocation of unused LPG plant to Dhodak plant to cater the increased well productions with integration to existing plant.

* Garhi Hassu LPG plant rehabilitation Project of OGDCL (Jul. 04 to Feb. 05)
Project manger for the detailed engineering and inspection of LPG Plant (stored unused for last eight years) and assessment of the works required for the rehabilitation and relocation to Dhodak field.

* ENAR Petroleum Refining Facility (EPRF-I) (Jan. 2003 to Jun. 04)

Plant Manager, solely responsible for the operation and maintenance of the EPRF during the first Eighteen (18) months after the commissioning of grass root pilot refinery capable of processing 3000 bbls/day of local condensate.

* Condensate Processing Facility Project (EPRF-I) (April 98 to Dec.02)

Project coordinator for the grass root (3000 bbls/day) pilot refinery project. This project includes basic engineering, detail design, procurement, fabrication of equipments and construction supervision etc.

* Bobi Early Production Facilities Project of OGDCL (Jan. 97 to Mar. 98)

Lead Engineer, responsibilities includes pipeline route selection, survey, alignment drawings, wellhead piping, relocation design, procurement, quality control/ assurance documents etc.

* Tando Alam Integrated Development Project (With M/s. Alliance Engg. Inc.) (Oct. 95 to Dec. 96)

Design Engineer, responsibilities includes pipeline route selection, survey, alignment drawings, wellhead piping and detailed engineering of Oil/Gas/Water separation satellites and central facilities.

* Hoechst Ravi Chemical Project (With M/s. Lurgi, Germany) (Aug. 93 to Sep. 95)

Design Engineer, responsibilities includes detailed engineering for production of PA, MA and DOP. The chemical plant is based on Lurgi GmbH processes.

Performed Cost estimation for the following project:

* Uch Gas Gathering Project

Complete cost estimate of gas gathering system from different wells to the Central Processing Facilities.
.
* Dakhni Train II Project

Complete cost estimate of Dakhni Train II and Dakhni BMR Project. The objective is to increase the processing capacity of the existing plant from 30 MMSCFD to 50MMSCFD.

* Coastal Refinery Project

Complete cost estimate of the grass roots refinery complex capable of processing 120,000 bbls/day of crude oil.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT:
In the capacity of project manager, led the team of process, mechanical, piping, electrical and instrument engineers to carry out the front end and detail engineering of the projects. Carried out the following works but not limited to:

* Developed the cost estimates (CAPEX & OPEX), planning and scheduling of the project.
* Managed and monitor the performance of the assigned personnel and project progress.
* QA/QC of the Project
* Prepared minutes of meetings, weekly and monthly progress reports and deviations related to engineering activities, material procurement status, fabrication activities and erection progress.
* Liaised with client, embedded his concerns and updated the schedule in line with the new developments and revised scope of works.
* Coordinated with other departments, contractors, vendors for establishing methods for implementation of engineering packages, followed up contractor sourcing material, approval of contractor documents etc.
* Review and approval of vendor's drawing.
* Made site visits for planning and execution of works with site team, as required, and prepared site visit reports.
* Prepared close out reports for contracts and engineering packages.

DETAIL ENGINEERING DESIGN EXPERIENCE
While working on the projects, the design and engineering activities carried out are summarized as follows:

Design, Development and Calculations of:

* Plot plan, Equipment layout
* Nozzle orientation with arrangement of operating platforms for process vessels.
* Plant piping layouts with sectional details and plant piping isometrics including bill of material, with respect to P&IDs, piping material specifications, equipment drawings and equipment layout.
* Plant piping & Piping supports, operating platforms & accessories, Line sizing, Stress and flexibility analysis.

* Technical specification for piping/pipeline material (including pipe fittings, valves, branches connections). Technical specs.for equipments, pumps, pressure vessels, boilers, furnaces chillers, etc.
* Preparation of proposals and BOQs for tender documents (procurement/construction).
* Technical bid evaluation for different types of projects, such as EPC, basic engineering contractor, detail engineering contractor
* Bid evaluation for the procurement of pipes, fittings, pumps, other items and equipments.
* Attended meeting of Safety Review and Audit of the Plants

2. Allwin Engineering (August 1992 – May 1993)

Worked in specialized aluminum foundry as trainee mechanical engineer and was responsible for the production planning and production of automotive engine pistons, ranging from railway locomotives to 25 cc motorcycles.
