* Adherence to standard / recommended safe work practices, process safeguarding, Design reviews, Hazop reviews etc. and provide inputs.

* Prepare conceptual process schemes / proposal for consultant study / FEED & detailed Engg. Support to EPC contractors for pre-bid engineering activities.

* Detailed Engg. Activities, PFD, P&ID, Equipments / Instrumentation data sheets, Pumps data sheet, Hydraulics, Safety valves data sheets, line lists etc.

* Review operating, control and process safeguarding philosophy. Prepare Cause and effect diagram. Alarms & Trip logic etc.

* Co-ordination with operations, review daily yield pattern and product rundown specifications with the objective to improve efficiency and smooth / optimized operation.

* Participate in Root Cause Analysis, Incident Analysis, risk analysis & prepare process reports with recommendations for corrective actions to avoid recurrence of such undesirable events.

* Development of various Technical schemes, pump performances, process calculations, conservation schemes, performance review of Equipments, Exchangers, Review of Process Flow Schemes / Piping & Instrumentation Drawings, PSFS, EORD, etc.

* Use of Computer Simulation Software viz. PRO II, Hysis, Pipesim etc. for detailed analysis.

* Process monitoring/ Engineering analysis and trouble shooting, de-bottlenecking / modification studies. Review of Equipment / Instrumentation Data Sheets etc.

* Monitoring expenditure with respect to budgeted plan. Preparation of Management Information System reports on various aspects of cost control / expenditure.

* Advise operations / laboratory on sampling / testing requirement and ensure safe / trouble free and sustained operation of the facilities.

* Carrying out test runs & identification of limitations in equipments, calculation of Exchangers Overall Heat Transfer Coefficient & unit performance for energy consumption, yields etc.

* Work out Mass / Energy balance to identify areas of improvement or to minimize losses. Monitor real-time DCS operating parameters trends for analysis and trouble shooting.
