PROJECTS

Process Scale Tangential Flow Filter System
Used in Pharma companies and beverage companies. This specific project was done for Biocon using RSViewSE and RSLogix5000.

Multipole stator winding machine, using three different controllers Like Siemens, Mitsubishi, Omron.
This machine has been designed and developed for winding of multipole stator coils used in automobile industries. This machine has got 3 axis movements, one linear and two rotary axis with auxiliary functions Flexible menu driven programming through windows based Graphical User Interface and direct entry of coil parameters and user defined operation sequencing coupled with a powerful set of intelligent functions.
Contribution: Involved in the development and testing of PLC programming and Electrical circuit design and system integration

4 axis Winding Machine.
This machine has been designed and developed for winding of deferent dimensional coils. This machine has got 3 axis movements of wire guide with linear, circular, and helical interpolation capability for executing wind, wrap, cut and routing functions and one rotary axis movement. Flexible menu driven programming through windows based Graphical User Interface and direct entry of coil parameters and user defined operation sequencing coupled with a powerful set of intelligent functions.
Contribution: Involved in the development and testing of PLC programming and Electrical circuit design and system integration

Vacuum Impregnation Plant
This machine is used for varnishing the transformers and dry this through baking oven automatically. Here Repositioning transformer trays, vacuum lid open and lose, vaccumising, varnishing, dipping and push to baking oven of all functions are controlled by PLC.
Contribution: Involved in the development and testing of PLC programming and electrical design and system integration

6.5 meter Bushing taping machine
This machine is used for winding bushing from plain Kraft AWW paper or crape paper tapes and aluminum foils for the length of 6.5meter. This machine has been interfaced with Siemens FM-NC controller, PLC step7-300, OEM software. Here digital I/O modules are used for auxiliary and other control functions. Analog inputs/outputs are used to set and monitor the tensions for 3 rollers and has been done with Actuator Sensor Interface (ASI). Monitoring and controlling has done by PLC program. For user flexibility of entering the winding parameter on the operator panel FM-NC has been combined with MMC103 and developed OEM software for MMC103.
Contribution: Involved in the development and testing of PLC programming, NC programming and electrical circuit design.

2.5 meter Bushing winding machine.
This machine is used for winding bushing from plain kraft AWW paper and aluminum foils for the length of 6.5meter. This machine has been interfaced with Siemens FM-NC controller, PLC step7-300, OEM software. Here digital I/O modules are used for auxiliary and other control functions. Analog inputs/Outputs are used control the temperature of the thermal oil filled rollers and monitor actual value of the temperature for 5 rollers and actual value of tension applied on the paper. Monitoring and controlling has done by PLC program. For user flexibility of entering the winding parameter on the PC screen directly has been combined with MMC103 and developed OEM software for MMC103.
Contribution: Involved in the development and testing of PLC programming using, NC programming and electrical circuit design.

Six Spindle flyer type Winding Machine. using two different controller like siemens, Mitsubishi.
This machine has been designed and developed for winding of deferent dimensional coils. Filament winding machine
Filament winding is developed to build rocket engines. It is an ideal process for producing the required lightweight, high strength pressure vassals. it is a process of wrapping a fiber band over a mandrel in a geometric pattern. the typical objective in the filament winding is completely cover the mandrel with the fiber material. This is achieved by the winding down the mandrel, reversing and coming back along the mandrel, reversing again and returning to the starting point. For user flexibility of entering the winding parameter on the PC screen directly has been combined with MMC103 and developed OEM software for MMC103.
Contribution: Involved in the development and testing of PLC programming using STEP7 300, NC programming and electrical circuit design and system integration.

HT Capacitor winding machine
In this machine Master drives with servo motors are used to control the tension of the un winders and winder. All auxiliary functions like foil folding, and foil and film cutting functions are done through according to the foil and film length specified by the user automatically. All these controls and calculations are done in PLC. HT capactors are used in Power generating stations and where ever high currents are required. For user flexibility of entering the parameter using touch screen.
Contribution: Involved in the development and testing of PLC programming, Master drive configuration, Touch screen Configuration and electrical design for whole machine.

HT Capacitor Testing machine
In this machine Micro master with servomotor is used to vary the voltage up to the capacitor specified voltage. And other calculations are done in PLC using feedback from the analog module which reads the capacitor charging current and primary voltage. For user flexibility of entering the parameter using Siemens OP
Contribution: Involved in the development and testing of PLC programming, Micro Master configuration, OP screen Configuration and electrical design for whole machine.

LT Capacitor Testing machine
In this machine capacitors are test by applying the high AC and DC voltages. Depending on the capacitor value capacitor bank and rector bank will select automatically. After AC and DC testing capacitor will be tested by tan delta meter and according to the test results capacitor will be sorted in the sorting station. DC motors are used to vary the DC voltage and servomotor is used to vary the voltage up to the capacitor specified voltage. All calculations done in PLC For user flexibility of entering the parameter using Siemens Touch screen.
Contribution: Involved in the development and testing of PLC programming, Micro Master configuration, OP screen Configuration and electrical design for whole machine.

Generated or supervised a number of critical design reviews.

Supervising component placing and board layout design

Programming and tuning of servo drives.

Cam shaft chain testing and temperature measurement using LabView with NI controllers and
Siemens Drives.
