The CCR Unit as a part of Clean Fuel Project 2020, Kuwait National Petroleum Company is planed to upgrade its refineries to meet the future product specifications.
The project included the FEED Package for the unit with PFD and P&I.D preparation, Equipment list, Line list, Thermal sizing of fired heaters and heat exchangers etc.
Responsibilities:
1. Thermal Sizing of heat exchangers.
2. Preparation of Process Datasheets for Instruments.
3. Preparation of Line list

Hydrogen Carbon monoxide (HYCO) plant:
The HYCO Unit for Yangzi Petrochemical Corporation Ltd (YPC) China will produce carbon monoxide for YPC-BP JV 500kt/a acetic acid project, OXO gas for BYC and hydrogen for YPC.
The project included the Basic Design Package for the unit with PFD and P&I.D preparation, Equipment list, Line list, Thermal sizing of heat exchangers, Relief system analysis etc.
Responsibilities:
1. Relief System Analysis.
2. Establish relief load requirements and preparation of relief load summary.
3. Preparation of Process Data Sheets for Safety valves.

Detailed Engineering Services for Ethylene Dichloride (EDC) Pyrolysis Furnace:
The project included detailed engineering and procurement services for the ethylene dichloride pyrolysis furnace to produce vinyl chloride monomer (VCM) and hydrogen chloride (HCL) for Chemplast, Egypt.
Responsibilities:
1. P&I.D preparation for EDC pyrolysis furnace.
2. Preparation of control Philosophy for EDC pyrolysis furnace.
3. Preparation of Process datasheets for instruments.

Mixed Xylene Unit:
The Unit separates Mixed Xylenes, which are a feedstock to downstream petrochemical plants (Aromatics Plant). The feedstock is heavy reformate from the existing CCR Unit of the refinery.
Responsibilities:
1. P & I.D checking after mechanical completion of the Unit.
2. Supervision and Reporting to the Lead Process Engineer of all the preocommissioning activities.
3. Assistance during commissioning activities.

Experience also includes thermal sizing of heat exchangers for units like diesel hydro treating unit, hydrogen generation unit, gas oil hydrodesulphurization unit etc. And combustion air flow analysis in combustion air duct leading to each burner to ensure proper mass distribution to the burners and flue gas flow analysis in flue gas duct of Heaters and Hydrogen Reformers.
