DETAIL WORK RESPONSIBILITES:
Fire & Safety responsibilities and technical work exposure.
- Expertise in varied kind of fire fighting, Emergencies handling and Rescue activities: Plant emergencies as like – Oil fire, Chlorine leakage, ammonia leakage, polymer plant fire and various types of chemical spill and accidents handles in my chemical plant work experience. Faced various industrial fires as well as outside building fire and salvation activities.
- High risk activities: Very much aware of fire & safety arrangements required for critical activities like shut down and startup, critical modification, Hookup of high pressure gas pipeline, pigging, hydro tests, critical hot works (Hot-tapping). High pressure natural gas pipeline maintenance and Continues plant critical maintenance, work in Confined spaces, boilers, sudden breakdowns.
- Involved various commissioning and handover process. Prepared punch point. Played roll of secretary (HSE representative) in Steering committee meeting at corporate level (GSPL). Consulted & verified new installation & design of fire protection system (for new project) w.r.t. various relevant codes like OISD, NFPA (10, 11, 12, 15, 72), TAC, NBC, IS standards for safety & fire essentials & accessories..
- Managed Fire Station & fire fighting & safety systems in plant & stations: Managed fire station (2 fire tender station) small & big (6 fire-tender + snorkel station) with 50 firemen crew strength. All level of active & passive fire protection systems. Knowledge of new and advanced design approached for Fire protection systems for storage tanks (fixed roof), Pump house, fire hydrant, Fire Alarm and detection system, aware of operation, calibration and maintenance of various type of Gas detection system. Maintained and upkeep various active and passive fire protection systems installed at our gas grid stations (1130 K.M. long pipeline).
HSE Responsibilities.
- HSE at NG Pipeline: Coordinated activities like Hot –Tapping in 24"& 32" pipeline, HDD of Large rivers, Highway (6 lane ) and railway crossing. Did environmental and safety issues monitoring for pipeline laying operations like ROU opening to Commissioning of the project. Safety aspects & procedures for Pre-commissioning, nitrogen purging & commissioning activities, Pigging and Hydro testing of Pipeline, Temporary and Permanent Cathodic protection of Pipeline. Ensured safety during critical Hot-works like Hot-tapping, Hookups, critical Maintenance of Valves, Cathodic protection, Filters, Metering skids, PRV.
- Training and Educational Advancement: continually participated in value added educational advancement like DNV trainings (OSHAS, Risk Assessment, training on Legal requirements). Training & exposure visits of SAIL, IOC, Hasdev Power Plant, BARC, BG exploration, Gujarat GAS in their specialized area.
- HSE at Plant Operation and maintenance: work through Safe work procedure (PTW); Precise & responsible Permit to work system was a major responsibility during my 3 year of work experience and before starting the job I ensured every practical and helpful way to make sure that job is safe.
- Core expertise in Construction safety management: Worked Independently to plan, organize and implement HSE Management system in large scale construction projects as an Officer (HSE/ as a client organization) for large-scale EPC pipeline projects (ARPL, BJPL, NTPC-Paguthan Pipeline, various Hookups and spur-line projects) of high-pressure Natural Gas pipelines. Get exposure to Coordinate for Projects safety with consultants (Tractebel, Dorsch, Valdel), TPIA (SGS, CEIL) & EPC's (ECC, L&T, MYTAS PUNJ-LLOYD etc). Knowledge of Kickoff meetings, safety plan formation and implementation, motivation & trainings, audits and Review meetings, Accident investigation, managing records and their Analysis presentation & reporting. Got rich exposure implementing and maintaining safety at high pressure and high risk situations for Plant construction activities oft 32 meter high polyester plant construction, heavy lifting, construction activities at very height and risk activities like demolition of old structure etc.

- Manage, maintain, operate, purchase, store & distribution: for PPE's, First AID Safety appliances. Made specifications requirement, technical comparison for PPE purchases.
- Administrative work: Revised & updated company's Emergency Response plan. HSE manual revision, Made procedure for fire safety activities. Participated Impact – Aspect analysis and HIRA and group risk analysis. Coordinated and maintained Mutual AID agencies. Facilitated offsite natural gas leak mock drill activities. Safety liaison work for PPE, fire & gas sensors. Served role of a circle leader for implementation of TPM HSE pillar. Worked as core team member for implementation of integrated management system.
