Sr. Reservoir Engineer
- Reservoir Engineer for a large gas unit (sour retrograde gas condensate reservoir) with downdip oil reservoir. Responsibilities include evaluating reserves, yearly submission to the energy board, managing exploitation of the unit (on behalf of the unit owners) with concurrent production. Optimizing gas production with minimal impact to waterflood in the oil leg.
- Carry out Reservoir Simulation (downhole reservoir and surface gathering) of two large gas fields consisting of over 1500 wells. Update the model with new well tie-ins and incorporate changes in gathering system. Work with the production and pressure data to identify wells in the same pool.
- Waterflood surveillance of two operated waterfloods. Use OFM to evaluate patterns. Also use Streamline simulation to optimize the reservoir and suggest future infills.
- Provide reservoir engineering support from concept to tie-in decision for drilling new wells. The current budget is ~ 40 MM$ for the area.
- Provide quarterly and Long Range Plan forecast.
- Compressor evaluation and identifying bottlenecks in the gas gathering system to provide uplift for production.
- Identify infill and new drilling opportunities from detail reservoir studies.
- Identify workover candidates for production uplift.
- Provide technical support to reservoir/operations engineers regarding tubing/casing production decisions.
- Reconcile reserves booked with that of the model and identify candidates for reserves uptake.
- Carry out material balance, AOF calculations, Nodal analysis and Production forecasting.
- Provide support in land sales and applications to the EUB.
