Piping/Pipeline Designer (Supervising)
Responsible for the execution and development of engineering design packages for ongoing Saudi ARAMCO and in-house projects involving various aspects of mechanical/piping and pipelines associated with design supervision. Work includes development of P&ID and PFD, drawing preparations for facility plot plans, piping plan, isometric piping, pipeline alignment (plan and profile), hydrostatic test diagram, tie-in schedules and material take off. Provides detail design on hot tap tie-in between pipeline and in-plant, layout for pipeline jumpover, hot tapping and plugging for pipeline rehabilitation project, prepares sketches pipeline crossing details for existing pipelines, thrustbore details for major highways and railways.
Duties also involve review and checking of drawings packages prior to submission ensuring good quality per system procedure and client requirement. Conducts site investigations and field surveys for pipeline routings and tie-in.
Major Projects Involved:
* JO-31600 Haradh Gas Plant Downstream Pipelines with diameter sizes of 56", 42" and 36". Worked on the detail design layout for the installation of above and buried pipelines, scraper launcher and receiver facilities, mainline valves, burn pits, crossing details for pipeline & roads and pipeline alignment sheet (plan and profile) drawings.
* BI-3020 Qatif Downstream Pipelines Project consists of pipe diamater sizes of 24" Gas and Crude pipelines. Responsible of the detail design layout for the installation of above and buried pipelines, scraper launcher and receiver facilities, mainline valves, burn pits, road crossing details and pipeline alignment (plan and profile) drawings.
* BI-3509 Madinah Bulk Plant, worked on the detail design of the piping around tanks of super gasoline, gasoline, diesel and kerosene, layout of piping in pipeways and truck loading area.
* JO-00005 Shaybah Gas Compression, responsible for the layout of piping around high pressure compressor and high pressure knockout drum, injection compressor and injection knockout drum, relief lines and flare lines.
* QATAR PETROLEUM Project No. 2176, RAS LAFFAN TO MESAIEED ETHANE TRANSMISSION PIPELINE, responsible for the layout of piping around compressors, KO Drums and Gas Coolers at Station V, layout for the installation of above and buried pipelines, scraper launcher and receiver facilities and mainline valves.
