- Manage and direct manufacturing operations, production control, quality control, budgeting, cost reduction, administration, inventory control and troubleshooting of Refinery Offsite facilities.
- Ensure safe Tank Farm, Blending, Pipeline and Truck Loading operations.

- Coordinate with other departments to execute maintenance activities without interrupting plant operation.
- Maintain regular site visits in order to check operational / maintenance activities and house keeping conditions in order to make a safe and incident free operational area.
- Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for good governance and continued evolution.
- Suggest and execute plant modifications through MOC (Change Request, Technical Review and HAZOP procedures) without interruption to production and customer requirements.
- Develop and administer Revenue and Capital budgets.
- Suggest and implement recommendations of incidents happened through Incident Reporting System.
- Job Safety Analysis (JSA) preparation with the coordination of HSE department for off-routine operational and maintenance activities.
- Ensure compliance with Integrated Management System (IMS) as a steering committee member against certifications of ISO for QMS (9001:2000), EMS (14001:2004) and OHSAS (18001:1999).
- Develop system to provide opportunity, training and guidance to the staff to grow to their full potential.

ACHIEVEMENTS:

- Commissioned the non-operational NIR RON Analyzer and blending property controller for Gasoline blending which resulted in saving of worth 1.0 million $ per month of gasoline dispatch.
- Averted a refinery shut down during emergency shutdown of Naphtha Hydro-treating unit by suggesting and implementing storage of stabilized naphtha into Kerosene tanks which sustained seven days production.
- Hands on experience of the commissioning and pre-commissioning activities of Oil movement/Offsite facilities.
- Integration of Parco's pipeline (Pakistan's largest pipeline network) and Fuel Manager (Tank Gauging System) operations with the refinery set up.
- Implementation of Truck Loading Automation System (TLAS) by Emerson resulted in the most advanced Gantry in Pakistan having 27 loading bays of petroleum products.
- Collaborated with IT to develop Oil Movement Information System (OMIS) for record keeping and tracking of Oil Movements being performed in the refinery in 2004.
- Directed a two shift team of 60 contractual employees. Developed strong bond with contractual employees to establish trust and mutual bargaining agreement for contract renewal, which averted potential strike.
- Developing and implementation of JIG checklist / procedures for quality control of aviation fuel production and dispatch to customers.
- Reduced incidents frequency rate of department to 40% by effective implementation of Permit to Work system (PTW) through guidance, audit and trainings.
- Suggested and implemented installation of PSV on pipeline and averted pipelines' rupture.
