PROFILE OF PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITIES

* Installation, supervision, and testing of prototype bedrock extraction and monitoring well networks
* Supervision and analysis of hydrogeologic investigations to determine aquifer characteristics including single well response tests and constant rate and step drawdown pumping tests in unconfined, confined, and fractured aquifers
* Supervision of bedrock injection testing to determine aquifer hydraulic conductivity
* Supervision of personnel and coordination of field investigations including drilling and sampling programs conducted at hazardous waste sites and industrial facilities
* Supervision of overburden and bedrock monitoring well installations
* Supervision of non intrusive and downhole geophysical studies undertaken in conjunction with hydrogeologic investigations
* Supervision of personnel and implementation of groundwater monitoring and sampling programs undertaken in conjunction with hydrogeologic investigations
* Design and Implementation of Geologic Re-Characterization Studies at existing Sites

SIGNIFICANT ACHIEVMENTS

Key member of "Hyde Park Technical Team", an approximately 10 member group of engineers, geologists, hydrogeologists, and project managers from four companies responsible for re-characterizing the Hyde Park Landfill Site (USEPA Superfund Site). The site re-characterization and groundwater flow modeling ultimately led to de-listing of the site.

Characterization of bedrock flow zones at a Delphi site in Kokomo, Indiana. Characterization included bedrock core collection, downhole geophysical investigation, and packer testing to determine location of waterbearing fractures. Results were used to prepare three-dimensional conceptual model and groundwater flow model.

Successful design, installation, and implementation of multi-location and multi-level network of subtidal transducers beneath one of the waterways of the Puget Sound in Tacoma, Washington. Transducers were used to monitor groundwater flow patterns adjacent to former chemical manufacturing facility.
