CAREER OBJECTIVE
To obtain a career position in the Electrical Field using my skills as an Electrician, Field Service Engineer and Electrical Supervisor with the opportunity to advance in responsibility.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
2008-Pres: I&E Technician: Celgard, Charlotte, N.C. Battery separators and membranes used for photographic equipment, medical devices, cell phones, and computers. Duties include, maintenance and repair and troubleshooting of plastic extruders and ovens.
Calibrations of all instrumentation such as tension and torque controllers, load cells,
Rtd's, transmitters, transducers, thermocouples. Meters and equipment used, Druck calibraters, Deca boxes, Ametek heat bath, Fluke 744, Megometers, clamp on amp meters, volt-ohm meters. Also work with Engineering Dept. on projects and installations of various equipment, and set –up pm's that need to be preformed.
2008-2008: Field Service Manager: Pureflow Inc., Graham, NC. High purity water systems.
Duties include, Hands-on Manager of field service technicians to ensure world-class customer service. Coordinate with Installation Department all equipment installations. Ensure all preventive maintenance programs are properly administered. Liaison with service call center team to coordinate trouble call responses to ensure minimum disruption to customer operations. Develop effective working relationship with all customers. Completed and developed internal reporting procedures to ensure communication to the management team. Ensure field service personnel follow all safety/precautionary procedures. Facilitate technical training for field service technicians and customers.
2002-2008: Electrical Technician: Philip Morris, Concord, NC. Cigarette manufacturing.
Duties include, electrical instrumentation maintenance and troubleshooting, repair and installation of high speed FOCKE packing equipment. Knowledgeable and experienced in maintaining equipment and systems to include maintenance on various electrical control systems, programmable logic controllers (Siemens, Allen Bradley), variable frequency drives (ac,dc), video ink jets. Experienced with related test equipment, and can read blue prints and schematics.
1990-2002: Group Supervisor/Equipment Technician: Ondeo-Nalco / Calgon Corporation, Chemical Equipment Group, Pittsburgh, Pa. Manufacture of custom systems for chemical feeding and for process monitoring & control. Duties include wiring, assembly, troubleshooting and repair of power distribution, control panels, PLC, microprocessors, PC-based and relay-based control systems, installations and repair of ozone generator machines. Knowledgeable experience in electronic and process instrumentation. Experienced and thorough understanding of typical pressure, temperature, level and flow control loops (4-20ma).Worked with controllers and sensors by (Fisher Scientific, Great Lakes, Honeywell) ph, conductivity, orp, corrosion monitoring, used in cooling towers and waist water treatment. Responsibilities include scheduling, management of multiple projects, supervision of a five-man crew, and assisting engineering in system design.
1986-1990: Electrical Designer/Industrial Technician: Metal Working Machinery, New Kensington, Pa. Design electrical circuits for 480 VAC, 3-phase spin blast machines. Duties include electrical drafting, equipment layout, purchasing and inventory control, and assembly of all electrical components: conduits, wiring, control panels, motor starters, relays, limit switches, push-button stations, and programmable controls. Additional responsibilities include repair and maintenance of AC overhead cranes and spin blast machines. Accountable for many duties associated with an Industrial Technician.
1984 - 1986: Electrician: Mentzell Electric, Apollo, Pa & Schreckengost Electric Company, Lower Burrell, Pa. Industrial, commercial and residential wiring. Duties include wiring of explosion- proof equipment, conduit bending, reading of blueprints and supervision of two on-site employees.
1981 - 1984: Electrical Technician: Vectran Corporation, Blawnox, Pa. Manufacture of cranes and crane control systems used for railroad locomotives. Duties include wiring of remote controlled cranes, assembly of printed circuit boards and pneumatic panels, panel layout, wire wrapping of card files, and coil testing.
1980 - 1981: Airman, Analog Flight Simulator Specialist United States Air Force. Expertise in analog flight simulator electronics, electronic schematics, repair and troubleshooting. Honorable Discharge, June 1981.
