Holditch-Reservoir Technologies, Maadi, Cairo, Egypt.
Regional geological evaluation, structural analyses, prospect generation and appraisals studies were completed for the Bakr-Amer Field carbonate/clastic reservoirs in the Gulf of Suez. Development potentials of the field were investigated, Integrated Reservoir Studies and Static Model construction completed for the Bakr-Amer Field.

Lower Bahariye formations in South Debaa field were investigated and detailed correlations of the deltaic and channel sand trends were identified in the western desert of Egypt. Static model of the field was also constructed.
Six oil fields are from India, located in the Upper Assam Basin (Jorajan, Nahrokatia, Salmari, Makum, Hapjan and SE-Hapjan) and all the reservoirs are Tertiary deltaic and channel sand bodies. Reliable geological correlation and mapping helped us identify the major depositional trends of Tertiary deltaic and channel systems (L.Tipam and Barails 3rd, 4th and 5th sands). We have also constructed a static model to visualize the structural and property –3D modeling of the major geo-bodies in this deltaic environment and provided rescue files for the dynamic model constructions.

Worked with reservoir and production engineers for development strategies of Minagis Oolites and Wara Deltaic/channels. The Wara reservoir was deposited in a paralic environment. In this environment, four stacked channel systems were identified and there was an estimation of 2 billion barrels of oil in place . I was providing the geological components of asset evaluations; dealing with the operation, drilling and production team members; directing consultants and support staff and special projects as assigned.
Participated in development plans for oil wells and operation activities and 16 vertical and horizontal wells were successfully completed. Each well contributed an average of 4000 BOPD.

1986 - 1993         Arabian Gulf Oil Co., AGOCO, Bengazi, Libya
Senior Staff Exploration-Development Geologist
Regional Tectono-Stratigraphic Study of Western Sirte Basin. Identified 11 distinct stages of Rifting and 33 transgressive and regressive sedimentary cycles. Identified source rocks, oil kitchen and oil migration patterns. Delineated clastics and carbonate depositional systems and utilized all well data and seismic records for this delineation.
Concession Studies - Applied the result of regional studies for AGOCO’s concession (Con-44, NC-16, and NC-131) in the Western Sirte Basin. Generated geological subsurface maps and recommended several Leads and prospects for the Faca and Mabruk reservoirs. Carried out a development study of the Sabah Field, which resulted in drilling two successful oil wells. Prepared technical reports to establish an orderly strategy for undertaking regional and local exploration and development programs.

1985 – 1986            Husky Oil Operation Ltd., Calgary, Canada
Senior Development Geologist
Performed development studies for the Cretaceous heavy oil bearing reservoirs in Western Saskatchewan and determined depositional environment and trapping mechanisms. Developed play trends and generated subsurface mapping of Waseca, Lloyd and Macleran Channel sands. I was conducting well-site geology as part of my duty in the department.
Provided evaluation and recommendations to management for land sales, geophysical data acquisition and recommended new potential areas. I was dealing with the other oil companies regarding Farm-In, Farm-Out studies and Extension applications.

Carried out petrographic interpretations in the South Central Alberta basin, determined depositional environment and facies trends of the carbonate reservoirs and identified hydrocarbon bearing horizons for the Leduc and Nisku formations.
