  2. As- Project Manager for the Construction Technical Support of YSCC: Natural Gas Projects:

The Project aims to utilize natural gas for the manufacturing process of cement in place of existing crude oil as the primary fuel. The projects are divided in 3 packages:
a) Package 1- Saudi Aramco Metering Station. The project includes construction of a custody metering station near Saudi Aramco pipeline corridor. The metering station will be used to measure and monitor gas flow to YSCC.
b) Package 2- YSCC Fuel gas Pipeline and metering station. The project includes 20 kM of 20” diameter pipeline from Saudi Aramco metering station to YSCC metering station. The metering station composed of gas conditioning equipments, gas metering skid, 11 pressure reducing stations and control building.
c) Package 3- Fuel Gas In-plant piping and Burner Upgrade. The project involved design and construction supervision of the in-plant piping network to the various equipment of YSCC factory that will use natural gas as alternative fuel source. The kiln burners and their utilities will be converted to accommodate firing of natural gas.

The project involves approximately 600 kM water pipeline having 2 Pump Stations, 4 Terminal Stations and Valve Stations and was scheduled to be commissioned by January 2003. The project requires studying and developing a detail design for the replacement of the existing 3 MCCs. The new MCCs will be equipped with the necessary protection particularly earth fault in the branch breakers and settings will be coordinated with the main breaker.
e.)EWO 97-057: Emergency Generator for Reusable Water Sump Pumps
The project scope is a detailed design for the installation of 600 kW diesel engine standby generators. This will require new ATS and MCC switchgear. Automatic load shedding on the selected load of new MCC during emergency.
f.)EWO 97-049: Electrical Study, Riyadh Refinery
The project requires developing Electrical On Stream Inspection (OSI) program for Riyadh Refinery Inspection Unit. Evaluate existing OSI program being used at Yanbu Refinery. Execute the facilities identified in the OSI program.
g.)EWO 97-048: Expansion of ISF Facilities, CDO, Riyadh Bulk Plant
The project requires design for new substation and power distribution within the facility area.

The project scope involves electrical power supply for motors and transformer in the area. Cable/conduit layout from pump control panels, instrument digital and analog signals to process control room.

The project scope involves UPS power supply for shutdown panel in the control room. Cable/conduit layout for instrument digital and analog signals to process control room.
j.)BI-3380: MSO Warehouse Upgrade Riyadh:
The project scope includes upgrading the existing 7300 square meter storage building and construction of a new 1200 square meter receiving and shipping shelter with battery charging facilities. New 1000 square meters sunshelter reclamation.
This project requires upgrading electrical system that includes study of 13.8kV primary power supply, 15kV Switchgears (4-way & 3-way), new 1mVA transformer and metal enclosed low voltage switchgear. Prepare power, lighting and grounding layouts. Engineering calculations such as short circuit, load flow analysis, voltage drop, feeder sizes, and lighting illumination levels.
k.)EWO 95-018: Upgrade CSF Flare Control System, Riyadh Refinery:
The project scope includes upgrading the existing Crude Stabilization Facility (CSF) Flare System in the refinery. This requires a detailed engineering design for piping, installation of new flare ignition, monitoring, and control system of the existing CSF flare. Prepare electrical and instrumentation design layout such as:
a. Power supply to Flare Control Panel, Flame Front Generator, optical sensor, and Flare gas Flowmeter.
b. Preparation of P & ID to include the new instruments like Flame Front generator, thermocouple in thermowells, smart temperature transmitters, flow transmitters, and control valve. All signals and control shall be received and done in the CSF control room. The control components will be compatible with the future DCS.
l.)EWO 95-012: Redundant UPS System for Riyadh Refinery.
The project involved were replacement and upgrading of the existing single UPS system presently installed in the 5 selected substations inside the refinery. The project requires detailed engineering design for the new Redundant UPS System and shall comply with the latest issue of Saudi Aramco Engineering and Material Standards. Calculate required UPS kVA, battery and charger ratings intended for each substation. Develop engineering drawings like one line diagram, equipment and grounding layout, and ILD's. Cable layout and detail of all alarms and annunciators to its corresponding control rooms.
m.)EWO 95-028: Additional KnockOut Drum/Pumps for Flare, Riyadh Refinery. (Conceptual Design):
The project requires power supply for the two motor driven pumps from two independent double-ended (secondary selective) switchgear. Develop power and control cable routing, area/task lighting, grounding system, and cathodic protection. Assist instrumentation and control engineer in developing P & ID.
n.)P3368: Distribution and Instruction Manual (DIMS) for Saudi Aramco Bulk Plants:
The project composed of complete multi-discipline engineers to conduct inspection and monitoring for the preparation of manual in the following Distribution Bulk Plants:

The project involves preparation of project proposal for the expansion of the Riyadh ABFU JP-4 storage. This includes the installation of one new 30,000 BBL'S floating roof tank, tank telemetering system, cathodic protection, and fuel corrosion inhibitor dosing facility. The project involves re-designing of existing 4160V-power system by a Solid Bus System of Operation.
