Have more than 20 years experience in Piping Design and Engineering including Stress Analysis and Piping Materials Control for various projects in petrochemical plants, refineries and commercial chemical plants.

Presently working in Worley Parsons (Colt Engineering Corporation), Calgary, Canada as a "Mechanical Technical Specialist Lead" for Piping Engineering Department (Piping Stress Analysis) since November 6, 2006.

Worked in Fluor Arabia Limited, Saudi Arabia as Engineer II (G.E.S Saudi Aramco classification) for around 10 years for both Saudi Aramco and non-Saudi Aramco Projects with exposure to construction sites.

* Handle the responsibility of Lead Piping Engineer and acting Piping Department Head: Assign work for engineers & designers, planning various piping activities and updating monthly progress, develop/ monitor cost estimates, manpower forecasts and manhours scheduling, projects bidding activities, interact with other departments, projects, clients, field / site office, material procurement and subcontract activities for effective implementation of piping engineering schedule.
* Develop plot plan, equipment layout, general piping and pipeline design, checking of piping plan, plan & profile drawing, piping details and sections in accordance with Client's specifications, Colt, Fluor and International standards, Saudi Aramco codes and Royal Commission practices.
* Perform Piping flexibility analysis (static) for rigorous and non rigorous piping systems using Caesar II and Autopipe software. Critical Piping systems include both pipe rack and off pipe rack for pressure vessels, aerial coolers, storage tanks and rotary equipments (turbine, compressor and pump).
* Design of pipe supports and special supports tailoring to piping configuration and design criteria. Evaluate equipment nozzle loadings and bending moments and forces in pipe supports.
* Perform engineering calculations per ASME B31.3 and Sec. VIII, Div. 2 to attain integrity of Piping systems such as flange leakage checks, trunnion calculations (FE Pipe/ Nozzlepro/ Kellog), spring data sheets, nozzle load evaluations and qualifications including WRC 107/ WRC 297.
* Preparation of piping safety instruction sheets - pipe wall thickness and hydrotest calculations.
* Input to process group for preparing Line Designation Table.
* Assist in preparing hot tap calculations for tie-in packages.
* Prepare detail and bulk MTO for RFQ, Technical Bid Evaluation, compare budgetary quotations, check vendor drawings and engineering data, NMR review and prepare P.O. for piping commodities.
* Provide input to DBSP and prepare construction scope of works for various piping design packages.
* Conduct site surveys and support field construction and as-builting activities. Resolve site / construction queries and comments from SAPMT. Red lining and punch list activities in construction site.

Saudi Aramco Mobil Refinery (Samref) uses sea water flue gas desulphurization for SO2 emission reduction. 26 Plate heat exchangers are utilized for cooling refinery utilities. 114" GRP sea water intake, 96" GRP discharge to Aeration Basin, 101" Flue Gas Duct/Pipe (CS), Pre-scrubber, Absorber, Flue Stack, Seal Vessels, Pumps, Hastelloy, Monel and cement-lined CS pipe, etc are the major highlights of this piping system using expansion bellows and compensators.

* Stress analysis done for 16" steam line, pumps suction and discharge lines, interfacing with GRP lines. Proper piping supports provided interacting with GRP and Flue gas duct manufacturer.
* Performed flange leakage calculations and WRC 107 / WRC 297 calculation.
