Work Experience:

Petrol Chemical:
1. Worked as an Engineer (Chemical) in Mysore petrochemicals
Ltd., Raichur for 2months.(15.12.04 - 19.02.05). In Mysore Petro chemical plant I worked in phthalic anhydride plant. It is a continuous plant upto the reactor and the vacuum distillation unit is a batch process.

Chlor - Alkali:

2. At present working as an shift Engineer(Chemical) in Caustic soda plant in D.C.W Ltd., Sahupuram Unit,Tamilnadu, after successful training for a period of two years. In DCW.Ltd I¡¦am working as a shift engineer in caustic soda plant. It is a continuous operation having capacity of 183 TPD of 100% NAOH. I have enough knowledge in troubleshooting the difficulties. Despite of caustic soda I¡¦ am dealing with chlorine and hydrogen as a by product. I have knowledge in handling HCL furnaces (both vigarb and synthesis furnaces) of acid concentration 32% mercury cell is an electrolysis process of having 72KA (dc) current(load) and total mercury cells of 72.The electrolyser has 3 compartments (A,B &C)which is the lengthiest cell in Asia. Across each cells3.75- 4V (dc) is measured. The cells were designed by KREBS Paris. Now the plant is going for the expansion project of membrane cell by UHDE India.I have involved this project work. I have interest in design aspects and project work. I have experience in fusion plant (PLC) of caustic soda. In fusion plant the 47%lye is concentrated to 99% flakes by using heat transfer salt heated by a boiler (upto420C).
Pre Commissioning & Commissioning experience:

I Involved in the pre commissioning activities of membrane cell plant carried out by UHDE India Ltd. I have worked along with UHDE people for pre commissioning activities of membrane cell, 283 TPD project. Checking & creating of P & ID circuit, protocol, instrument loop checking, Interlock checking, valve response and feedback checking. I have involved in erection of tanks, Air compressor, Filters etc.

I took part in the start - up and commissioning & guarantee test run(GTR) of membrane cell and HCL furnaces (4x55TPD). Continuous monitoring of the plant parameters through DCS control along with uhde people and coordinating them. Doing material and energy balances, process calculations, production and consumption details. Knowing the basics of piping, HAZOP studies etc. Now currently working in membrane cell plant.
DCS Training:

I have undergone DCS training ¡* Fundamentals of centum CS 3000¡¨.Conducted by Yokogawa India Ltd. Bangalore.
Equipments Handling:

Pumps, Ion exchange columns, filters, claifier, Rotary Vaccum drum filter, Chemical reaction tanks, Membrane electrolysers HCL furnaces, Blowers, DM Water plant, VAM unit, Air compressor unit., N2 unit, Air dryer unit, Heat exchangers, Vaccum pump, etc.
Training skills
In DCW. Ltd I have training knowledge about QHSE (EMS, QMS, OHSAS), 5S activities, first aid, safety &fire fighting activities, communication skills, managing change, war on waste activities and handling hazardous chemicals.

Job Responsibilities:
1. Shift - In charge of plant reporting to General Manager (caustic soda).

2. Looking over production targets.

3. To maintain smooth and safe operation of all sections, which includes Water treatment, cooling towers, Boiler, Air compressors, PSA Nitrogen Plant, blowers, pumps, chill water systems, HCL
furnaces, mercury cell, etc,.

4. To maintain smooth running and maintenance of plant in coordination with Mechanical, Electrical and Instrumentation departments.

5. Monitoring process parameters to identify deviations from norms and taking corrective actions, attending trouble shooting process problems.

6. Updating safe operating procedures and looking after process development works.

7. Monitoring production and quality of feed, products and effluents.

8. Practical knowledge about first aid fire fighting systems, and mock drill rehearsals.
