	«« previous resume Resume #80235 next resume »» CONTACT INFORMATION: BACKGROUND I am a structural and metamorphic specialist (Ph.D., Adelaide, Australia) based in Austria and currently employed as Regional Chief Geologist with Omya AG, a global producer of industrial minerals (calcium carbonate). In this position I manage a team of international country geologists leading exploration, mine planning, reserve/resource estimation projects in Portugal, Spain, Italy, Greece, Turkey, Israel, Egypt, Morocco, Jordan, Syria, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Iran, UAE and East Africa. My position involves extensive international travel to mentor and support the Country Geologists. I am experienced with the Surpac software package relating to borehole databases, geology modeling, mine design, block modeling and JORC-like reserve/resource evaluation. I also provide introductory in-house Surpac training for junior geologists. Mine- and Geology due diligence studies are one of my key specialties. Prior to my current position I worked as Project Geologist at Omya AG. My duties involved exploration, mine planning and reserve/resource modeling and estimation projects in Central and East Europe. PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE 2004 – Present: Regional Chief Geologist, Omya AG.
