1. Basic Engineering Activities

* Preparation of Heat & Mass Balance Diagrams for Combined Cycle / Rankine Cycle / Cogeneration /Waste Heat Recovery Power Plants.
* Sizing / Selection of major equipment in the Power Plant such as Boilers, Steam Turbine, etc.
* Selection & Sizing of Balance of Plant equipment such as Cooling tower, Compressors, Pumps, EOT Cranes, etc
* Process Flow Diagrams for, Steam, Condensate, Fuel, Water, Air Systems etc., indicating design conditions for various equipment & pipe lines in Power Plants.

2. Detailed Engineering Activities a) Steam Turbine Packages: -

* Preparation of Technical Tender Specification for Steam Turbine specifications along with is auxiliaries like LP, HP Heaters, Condensers, Steam Jet air ejectors.
* Evaluation of various offers in terms of Turbine performance, Suitability of auxiliaries for the given conditions, scope of supply, terminal points etc.

b) Rotary Equipment

Screw and Reciprocating Compressors: -

* Preparation of Technical Specification for equipment like screw / reciprocating Gas Compressors.
* Evaluation of bids, Preparation of Technical Queries, Technical Bid Analysis etc.

Pumps

* Preparation of Technical Specification and datasheets (API) for pumps, seals, couplings etc, subsequent Vendor drawing /document review for Centrifugal, Screw Pumps, Gear pumps, High Speed Pumps etc.

c) Liquid Fuel Unloading, Storage & Forwarding system (HSD): -

* Preparation of Layout as per statutory requirements,
* Sizing of Pumps, tanks, filters & piping.
* Preparation of technical Tender Specifications for the package (or individually) including equipment such as Storage Tank, Unloading, & Forwarding Pumps (Centrifugal / Screw / Gear ¡V as applicable), steam coil heating systems with condensate collection tank & pumping etc.
* Technical Bid evaluation of offers received & making a 'Technical Recommendation' for procurement.

d) Fire Protection System including Hydrant, Medium & High Velocity Spray Systems & Fixed Foam System: -

* Preparation of Specification for the Fire Protection System Identify areas to be protected in a plant & design the Design / Specify protection systems for the same ¡V as per TAC rules & OISD regulation.
* Preparation of Fire Hydrant Layout drawing both outside & inside the TG building.
* Preparation of BOQ for accessories of the Fire Hydrant
* Sizing of the Pumping System & Selection of Pumps & Diesel Engine for the application.

e) Instrument & Service Air Systems

* Sizing of the Compressor & the Air dryer based on various plant requirements.
* Preparation of Technical specifications for Reciprocating / Screw Air Compressors, Desiccant type Air dryers & subsequent review of Vendor
* Preparation of G A drawings of Air Receiver including thickness calculation based on IS 2825 / ASME sec VIII. Preparation / review of associated piping drawings.

f) Water System

* Preparation of Specification for the Water Treatment plant for Cooling Water & Power Cycle Makeup.
* Review of drawings & documents of vendors in the Pre & Post Order stage.
* Plants handled so far are 'Reverse Osmosis' plants, D M plant, Pretreatment plant, and Iron removal plant.

g) Other major Packages / Equipment handled: -
