Work Experience:
i)I have been working as Executive Engineer(Inspection) from 2nd April 1997 to till date in Chittagong Urea Fertilizer Ltd (Capacity: 1000 M/T Ammonia and 1700 M/T Urea per day ), an Enterprise of Bangladesh Chemical Industries Corporation (BCIC). Here my responsibilities are as follows:
- to supervise all on-stream and shutdown inspection activities of different vessels,tanks,pipe lines etc.to ensure plant integrity and reliability for the safe and efficient operation.
- to prepare data to implement and update the Risk Based Inspection (RBI)
methodology to enhance plant integrity and reliability.
- to advise on repair techniques, materials selection, welding procedures, inspection and testing procedure.
- to assist in testing and certifying the welders and welding procedure as per
Boiler & Pressure Vessel code ASME SEC. IX.

- to supervise the welding activities of different pressure piping, pressure vessels, tanks etc. of Ammonia, Urea and Utility plant.
- to review WPS and PQR --- to control the quality of welding of different pressure piping, pressure vessels, tanks etc. according to WPS, Drawing, Code, Standard and Specification.
- to ensure the integrity of the weldment by PT, MT, RT, UT.
- to carry out the Post Weld Heat Treatment activity if necessary by PWHT unit as per Boiler & Pressure Vessel code ASME SEC.VIII, DIV-I., UW-40 & UCS-56.
- to carry out thermography (thermal imaging) to detect hot spots of different refractory lined vessels, transfer line,duct etc.by Infra Red Pyrometer.
- to carry out PMI of different equipments,pipe lines etc. by alloy analyzer.
- to measure the hardness of different metals, weldment etc. by Hardness tester.
- to measure the thickness of different pipe lines, vessels, equipment etc. by
Ultrasonic thickness gauge & Electromagnetic thickness gauge.
- to assess the condition of Heat Exchangers,Gear box, Bearing housing etc. by using Electronic Stethoscope.
- to detect the non-pressure & pressure leakage of tanks, steam traps, vessels etc.by using Ultrasonic leak detector.
- to inspect the cathodic protection system of the factory.
- to supervise the repair work of Urea Synthesis Reactor,Package Boilers,Waste Heat
Boilers,different kinds of vessels,coolers,condensers,Polishers, valves etc.during shutdown and Turn Around.
- to carry out the metallurgical replica test activities of different metals.
- to visually inspect Urea Synthesis Reactor weep hole management system.
- to inspect the rubber lined vessels & detect the pin holes of rubber lining if any by Holiday Detector.
- to inspect the tube inside condition of different coolers, condensers, boilers etc. by flexible boroscope.
- to measure the corrosion rate of cooling water systems by using corrosion coupon.
- to assess the microbiological condition of cooling water by Total bacteria count test kit.
- to measure the coating thickness of paint.zinc,enamel etc. over a ferrous and non-ferrous material by using Digital Coating Thickness Gauge.
- to analyze the lube oil condition used in different rotating parts by lube oil checker.
- to measure the speed of different rotating parts by using tachometer &
stroboscope.
- to inspect fire sprinkler system of the factory.
- to measure the sound level of working atmosphere by sound level meter for ensuring the safety of the workers etc.
- to analyze the bearing conditions of different shafts by Bearing analyzer.
- to measure the temperature of primary reformer tubes of Ammonia plant by Optical pyrometer.
- to measure the vibration of different rotating parts by Universal vibrameter.
- to supervise the Insulation, Refractory,Painting and Scaffolding works of the factory.
- to check condition of safety relief valves,prescribes repair as required and witness relief pressure setting including hot service when needed.

ii)I was engaged as a Production Officer in Macro House Hold Products Ltd. (One of the concerns of OFM Group) from 12th August,1995 to 30th March 1997.Here my responsibilities were as follows:
- to inspect the quality of the raw material.
- to check the quality of the products by visual inspection, drop test etc.
- to maintain the workforce level as per production requirement.

Extra Curriculum:

i) Training on Foundation Course on NDT Organized by Bangladesh Atomic Energy Center, Dhaka. 15 to 30 September, 2002.This training course includes PT,MT,ET,RT,UT, different welding methods, welding positions,Symbol of welding and NDT, different welding discontinuities etc.

ii) Training on Radiographic Testing Level-I Organized by Bangladesh Atomic Energy Center, Dhaka. 10-20 May, 1999.

iii) Training on Radiographic Testing Level-II Organized by Bangladesh Atomic Energy Center, Dhaka. 9 July to 9 August, 2001.

iv) Training on Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Organized by Training
Institute for Chemical Industries (TICI), Ghorasal, Bangladesh from 01
to 07 December, 1998.This training course includes Ultrasonic Testing
(UT), Magnetic Particle Testing(MT), Dye Penetrant Testing (DPT) & Eddy
Current Testing (ET) methods.

v) Worked with the Kobe Steel Ltd. Experts of Japan in Urea Synthesis
Reactor during Turn Around 1999 in Chittagong Urea Fertilizer Limited
(CUFL) & I was awarded with a certificate "On Welding" from Kobe Steel
Ltd. Experts of Japan over the Urea Synthesis Reactor (High Pressure &
High Temperature multi-layered vessel).
vi) Training on Nucleonic Gauge Practices Organized by Bangladesh Atomic
Energy Center, Dhaka. & Certified as Radiation Control Officer (RCO) by Bangladesh Atomic Energy Center, Dhaka. 23 to 29 May, 1999.

vii) Training on Basic Industrial Management Organized by Training Institute for Chemical Industries (TICI), Ghorasal, Bangladesh. This training was focused on Purchase, Banking, Marketing, Material Planning and Inventory
Control (MPIC), Store Accounting, Insurance, Audit, Administration &
Industrial Safety. 30 May to 11 june,1998.

viii) One month Industrial Training at Shikalbaha Power Plant, Chittagong.

ix) Training on Corrosion Protection for Industry organized by Bangladesh
University of Engineering & Technology (BUET), Dhaka. 6 to 9 January,
2002.

x) Worked with the Kobe Steel Ltd. Experts of Japan in Urea Synthesis
Reactor during Turn Around 2003 in Chittagong Urea Fertilizer Limited
(CUFL) & I was awarded with a certificate on Inspection & DPT from Kobe
Steel Ltd.Experts of Japan.

xi) Attended in a workshop on Reverse Engineering.
xii) Attended in a workshop on Behaviour Modelling for Improved Performance.
xiii) Attended in a workshop on Total Quality Management.
xiv) Worked with Magnetische Prufanlagen, s Inspection Engineer of Germany for inspecting the catalyst tube of primary reformer in Chittagong Urea
Fertilizer Ltd.
xv ) Worked with Stamicarbon Inspection Engineer of The Netherlands in
Karnaphuli Fertilizer Company Ltd.(KAFCO) during overhauling –March,2008.
