Project: A mature oilfield FFR/FDP.
* Review the available reservoir engineering data including fluid properties (PVT), special core analysis (SCAL), and formation pressure testing (MDT, RFT and DST) data analysis, OWC/GOC determination; Transit Well Test data interpretation using Saphir.
* Develop 3D reservoir simulation models for all major hydrocarbon bearing sands.
* Identify key reservoir uncertainties and perform sensitivity analyses to determine their impact on field and reservoir performance.
* Develop recovery estimates for structural uncertainty using the Most Likely, high, and low cases from the static model.
* Develop recovery estimates and production profiles for the Most Likely field development scenario and other alternative depletion scenarios.
* Identify the well locations for future development and optimize the location and number of the planned horizontal and vertical wells based upon oil recovery.
* Recommend additional data acquisition to reduce the uncertainties associated with field development.
Mature Field Fracture Feasibility Study:
* Well productivity modeling:
o Petrel Component: Single Well productivity Model (SWPM) application, using numerical model for offshore well or important well productivity forecast.
o Built 3 wells SWPM models: designed and expert level for handling this modeling and rock typing analysis skills.
* FracCADE fracture design: Reservoir engineering support on field studies.
* Field stress analysis using GR Log and Sonic Log.
Gas field FFR of Vietnam:
* Simulation on a large tight gas field development. Optimize well spacing and well control scheme.
* Gas reserve calculation using p/z plots.

Project: Future Oil Development (FOD) Project for SPDC
(SHELL PETROLEUM DEV. CO (SPDC), LTD., Port Harcourt, Nigeria)
* Use Eclipse/Petrel software to perform reservoir engineering study, e.g. rock and fluid properties, material balance (MBAL), production data analysis(OFM), vertical flow performance (VFPi) curves. One of the objectives for this study is to prepare good quality data for reservoir simulation.
* Used OFM surveillance system: Generated various plots to diagnose well productivity and production optimization:
o Bubble Maps, Cross Section Plots, Grid Maps, Scatter Plots, etc.
o Nodal Analysis with PIPESIM;
* Built well performance model (Inflow/Outflow model): Generated and selected a suit of optimum VLP curves for specific well using Eclipse, VFPi and PROSPER; more than 7 friction correlation methods have been used.
* New well (vertical & horizontal) conceptual design: Deployed a smart well using Fiber Optic (DTS), ICV and memorized pressure gauge. Implemented single string for dual producing sands and dual tubing strings completion.
* Sand control completion design: Built a sand prediction model and calculated FBHP drawdown, selected Open Hole Gravel Pack (OHGP), Internal Gravel Pack (IGP) and Expandable Sand Screen (ESS) to completion.

Accomplishments: Built new well type selection condition and optimization of well type.

Reservoir/Production Engineer Moston Petroleum Engineering Inc, Calgary, Canada Sep 2002 – Jul 2006
Finished Project: EOR Study for Sandstone Mature Reservoir (Jul. 2003 – Dec. 2004)
* Production Data Analysis to Identify New Opportunities in Mature Fields: Arps Decline analysis.
* Full Field Dynamic building: performing reservoir flow simulation: history matching and prediction runs.
* EOR methods study for high water cut reservoir: the methods included massive hydraulic fracturing, various water shut-off techniques and shifted oil, water or idle wells.
* Infill and re-completion candidate well selection: responsible for plan, design, implementation and on-site supervision.
* Water-Shut-Off (WSO) treatment & viscous water (adding long chain polymer) flooding techniques: completed 36 wells WSO treatments using polymer solutions and crosslinking agents. Highly skill of various chemical formula designs, placement operation and without seriously damaging hydrocarbon-producing zones.
* Used of chemical inhibitors to mitigate corrosion problems caused by CO2/H2S production as corrosion of oil well tubular is rather complex. Coating damage will lead to accelerated corrosion/failure in tubular
Accomplishments: the whole reservoir's water cut from 82% decreased to 40%. Gained oil 1.6 MMbbl by WSO design and implementation.

Finished Project: Tight Gas Reservoir Performance Analysis and OGIP (Jun. 2004 – Jul. 2006)
* Collected production dada and static data of this reservoir.
* Used dynamic material balance method to get average reservoir pressure.
* Interpreted transient welltest data and got reservoir parameters.
* Compared reservoir pressures (got from two methods above) and got concert results.
* Production Decline Curve Analysis and Type Curve Matching method.
* Determination of OGIP and save 1.8 million Dollars (shut-in 5 well X $360k/well) for our client
Participated in Project: Reservoir Database Management Jan. 2002 – Sep. 2002
* Updated client database and enhanced operation functions using SQL.

* Enhanced production: Recognized and applied optimum strategies for management of oil production.

* 6 Types Artificial Methods Selection: Gas Lift (GL), Electrical Submersible Pump (ESP), Progressing Cavity Pump (PCP), Hydraulic Lift (HL), Plunger Lift (PL) and Rod Pump (RP).
* ESP Design and Deployed: Implement ESP installment and performance diagnosis activities for 120 producing wells.
Accomplishments: Used 1.5 years, finished artificial lift shift from RP to ESP. accelerated and increased reserve 3% of the whole reservoir. 78 MMbbl oil achieved for 3 years.

Finished Project: White-Temple Condensate Gas Reservoir Exploitation
* Built fluid model using PVTi.
* Injection gas screening: produced gas recycling (lean gas), CO2 and flue gas compensation.
* Bottom-hole water clean out: used chemical bar and wellbore P-T model to control condensates (oil and water)
Accomplishments: Increased 2% recovery and produced additional 0.68 BSTB of condensates within one (1) year. Water cut decreased to 5% and revived 80% of quit gas wells caused by high water cut.

Finished Project: Reservoir simulation for optimizing field development strategy.
* Performed reservoir simulations using ECLIPSE 100 to evaluate various pressure maintenance scenarios.
* Infill well location determination and predicted field production for 20 years.
* Performed simulation studies along the horizontal wellbore to compare production profiles between horizontal well and vertical or deviated well.

Finished Project: Optimize water flooding performance
* Analysis of log data, core data and built a dynamic model using Kro vs. Sw drainage and imbibition curves.
* Determined sweet factor.
* Predicted recovery factor.
* Increased 6% RF for full fields.
