I am a Degreed Petroleum Engineer with over 27 years of worldwide experience. I have performed and directed in the office and field as a Drilling Engineer, Operations Engineer, Drilling Supervisor and Drilling Consultant. My expertise is well work, projects, engineering, supervision and education. I have a broad range of knowledge. This includes Oil/Gas, Geothermal, drilling, workovers, completions, intervention, abandonments, production and operations. Specifically; developing programs, site supervision, drilling HSE procedures, project improvement, cost control, contracting, importing, logistics, warehousing, training/mentoring of young, national, & less experienced personnel. Performed and directed offshore, deepwater, problem wells, complex wells, ERD, HT, high flowrates, gumbo, granite, CO2, H2S, UBD, slimhole, large bore, well control, NAF, multiple rig ops, dual activity rig floor, batch work, splitter conductors, smart & dual completions, stimulation, cased hole fishing, environmental, zero tolerance, safety, Sim. Ops, teams, performance, remote, unique and foreign assignments.
I have successfully contributed to several projects and countries including: Gulf of Mexico, Offshore California, Offshore Eastern Canada, Gulf of Thailand, South China Sea, Geothermal Indonesia, Geothermal US Basin and Range, remote Myanmar, urban Los Angeles, and in the rugged, cold weather environs of the US Rocky Mountains and Kazakhstan

2002-2006 CONSULTANT DRILL SITE MANAGER – BRUNEL ENERGY THAILAND LTD – CHEVRON OFFSHORE THAILAND LTD. (COTL) - Perform and direct as COTL Company Man. Responsibility is to manage people and procedures to ensure that offshore Well work operations are done safely, efficiently and in accordance with company policies and government regulations. Rotational and spot coverage as the Onsite Supervisor for several Jack Up rigs on contract. (Atwood, Global SantaFe, Ensco). Drilling operations are the record setting fast hole of the Gulf of Thailand.
2001 DEEPWATER PERFORMANCE CONSULTANT – BP DW GOM. Deepwater Performance Consultant for a BP DW Gulf of Mexico Operation. Worked on the floater and in the office acting as a resource to Deepwater Well Team. Role is to continually improve Operational Performance of Semi-submersible rig operations (Transocean Sedco Forex Rather) and BP's Team Houston DW Drilling and Completion staff.
1998-2000 INTERNATIONAL ENGINEERING POOL - BAKER HUGHES E&P SOLUTIONS. On a retainer and available through this division for Worldwide Project Management, Well Work Engineering and Well Work Supervision. Notables: JULY 99–AUG 99 - HIBERNIA OFFSHORE PROJECT, ST. JOHNS, NEWFOUNDLAND - LEAD ENGINEER on a 30,000 BOPD Workover/Recompletion. JAN 99 - FEB 99 HIBERNIA OFFSHORE PROJECT, ST. JOHNS, NEWFOUNDLAND LEAD ENGINEER on a 10,000 BOPD Workover and a complicated Intervention. NOV 98 - KKM PROJECT, ACTAU, KAZAKHSTAN - Worked potential PROJECT MGMT operation.
1997-1998 OPERATIONS COORDINATOR - BAKER HUGHES SOLUTIONS, ASIA/ PACIFIC REGION, MANN OIL FIELD PRODUCTION ENHANCEMENT - MINBU, MYANMAR.
Rotational position in the field and was involved with managing all aspects of an accelerated push to breathe new life into mature oilfield. Includes large equipment importation by sea & river, multiple production and drilling rig work, 3D seismic, working with National Oil Company, and directing new personnel and procedures.
1996-1997 SENIOR COMPANY DRILLING REPRESENTATIVE - CHEVRON OVERSEAS PETROLEUM INC (COPI), AMOSEAS INDONESIA, GEOTHERMAL DRILLING - JAKARTA, INDONESIA.
Rotational position working on office planning, then field supervisor of geothermal drilling project. Highlights include drilling and completing largest dry steam well in the world (40 MWe), drilling 7 new large bore wells ubd, 2 workovers, 4 slimhole wells, 2 rigs, trained and educating personnel, and proving over 200 MWe of reserves. Our office also had offshore operations in the Natuna Sea.
1995 SENIOR DRILLING ENGINEER - CHEVRON USA, OFFSHORE CALIFORNIA - VENTURA, CALIFORNIA. Project engineer in office for final well work related to the abandonment and removal of California's first four state platforms. Then project engineer in office supervising a workover project on an OCS platform.
1993-1995 SENIOR COMPANY DRILLING REPRESENTATIVE - CHEVRON OVERSEAS PETROLEUM INC (COPI), AMOSEAS INDONESIA - GEOTHERMAL DRILLING - JAKARTA, INDONESIA.
Rotational position working on office planning, then field supervisor of geothermal drilling project. One rig project drilled 5 new wells and 2 workovers. Made large discoveries justifying future drilling. See 1996- 1997.
1993 DRILLING ENGINEER - CHEVRON USA, STATE PLATFORMS - VENTURA, CALIFORNIA. Project engineer in office for all well work related to the abandonment and removal of California's first four state platforms including 138 wells.
1991-1993 COMPANY DRILLING REPRESENTATIVE - CHEVRON USA, OFFSHORE CALIFORNIA - VENTURA, CALIFORNIA. Rotational position, working as the field supervisor of drilling, completion, workover and abandonment rig work on seven offshore California Platforms.
1990-1991 COMPANY DRILLING REPRESENTATIVE - CHEVRON USA, LOS ANGELES BASIN - VENTURA, CALIFORNIA. Rotational position, working as the field supervisor of rig and the related work for high volume oilfield abandonment of wells, facilities and the subsequent site cleanup (5 fields). Our office also had offshore operations in the Santa Barbara Channel.
1986-1990 FIELD OPERATIONS ENGINEER - CHEVRON RESOURCES CO., GEOTHERMAL OPERATIONS – ROOSEVELT HOT SPRINGS, UTAH. Sole technical member of field staff that is producing and operating a 25 MWe Geothermal field, supplying steam and brine to Electric Power Plant. Worked large range of topics including all wellwork, rigs, chemical treatment, facilities, process, O&M supervision, accounting, reservoir surveying, geochemical sampling, environmental and safety.
1982-1986 COMPANY DRILLING REPRESENTATIVE - CHEVRON USA, ROCKY MOUNTAIN DIVISION - DENVER, COLORADO. Rotational position, working as the field supervisor on numerous drilling, workover, and completion rig projects (>100) in several fields (~13) in the Rocky Mountain Region. Also worked Petroleum Engineering special projects.
