* Worked on Embedded Wireless Data Communication Using Frequency Shift Keying(FSK) and TCP/IP suite.
* Communication Systems are generally designed to handle the output of a variety of information sources that are both analog and digital. In large power plants, we may need to measure physical parameters like temperature, humidity, pressure etc from a different place and send the data to the control room.
* The project proposed and implemented an effective system that tooks into consideration the above needs and provided an imperative communication network with global connectivity for data analysis.
* A Frequency Shift Keying wireless communication system was developed with embedded systems and Transmission control protocol/Internet protocol (TCP/IP) suite. The test vector was an array of characters that were modulated using FSK technique and transmitted digitally worldwide.
* The hardware setup included two embedded systems: one was a 8051 microcontroller to serially transmit data to the FSK modulator kept in the plant area; the other system is a X86 machine (Embedded with Real time Operating System – RTOS) with TCP/IP suite to receive the signal from the FSK modulator kept in the control room. A host PC was used to develop the applications for X86 target machines.
