I am a process engineer, and have 10+ years of experience in process systems design, process engineering support, basic and detailed engineering of the petrochemical, oil processing facilities including open pit extraction/tailing and steam assisted gravity drainage technologies (Upstream production of heavy oil), and hands-on experience of optimization and debottlenecking of existing facilities including bitumen processing from oil sands facilities.
* Conducted projects for preliminary design, engineering design specifications, commissioning, startup and plant operations of the processing facilities
* Prepared HYSYS simulation models for basic engineering and performance optimization of condensate production projects

Worked on Albian Oil Sands Project, Upstream Expansion. (Utilities Area)
This facility was an expansion project of extra heavy oil production of capacity 90000 bbl/d, from 8000 t/h oil sands ore processing.
* Worked on FED3 phase of the project and prepared the deliverables for that phase i.e. PFDs, P&IDs, design criteria, Sized the Equipment for the budget preparation of the FED3 phase.
* Worked on tie-in points for the utilities to be taken from MRM Base plant to the new facility and sized the equipment/line to implement the debottlenecking.
* Designed the firewater system for the new facility including the debottlenecking of the existing system..
* Worked on the detailed design of the project, main responsibilities included performing calculations to size the equipment/Line using simulation softwares (Fathom, Arrow and HYSYS) along with the hand calculations.
* Review of vendor quotes/data for boiler feed water, potable water and wastewater treatment units and preparation of design reports for client review were among the duties
* Provided support to other departments (i.e. mechanical, procurement) and coordinated with other process areas (i.e. froth treatment, extraction and tailings)
