Provided engineering and operations support to different assets with special peculiarities such as challenging procurement in remote location, sweet and sour gas fields, carbonate and sandstone reservoirs, activations using electric submersible pumps and gas lift, etc.
* Led an "Intelligent Completion" deployment project and successfully delivered three (3) pilot oil wells equipped with fibre optics Distributed Temperature System (DTS) and multiple pressure/temperature gauges. Fibre Optics procurement and installation cost of about $2 Million (US) for the 3-wells.
* Significantly improved wellbore assurance through efficient and effective casing cleaning.
* Sought and successfully applied new technologies for the completion of N'Kossa Extended Reach Departure (ERD) wells (up to 9000m measured depth).

Lead Completions Engineer, Amenam-Kpono Project 2001 - 2005
TOTAL E&P Port-Harcourt, Nigeria
This MP-MT field development involved the drilling and completion of 34 wells, of which 18 are oil producers, 5 are gas injectors and 11 are water injectors. It was accomplished using 2 Jack-up rigs simultaneously.
* Effectively led Amenam-Kpono Medium Pressure Medium Temperature (MP-MT) well completion project from inception to production. Demonstrated expertise in the design of Monobore completions and the applications of interventionless technologies to horizontal gas injectors saving $12 Million (US).
* Authored and released a "know-how" document on Amenam-Kpono well completions.
* Authored and released SPE paper # 90760 on Amenam-Kpono well completions.
* Achieved excellent project management skills working in Amenam-Kpono multi-discipline and multi-cultural team with budgets in excess of US$ 1.5 billion.
* Amended (with the sub-surface team members), the Amenam-Kpono field depletion plans following the results of the "interference tests" conducted in the early development phase of the project.
* Sought and implemented novel technology applications (TTFV, HHC packer, swell packer, FSO valve, Powerjet guns, etc.) and achieved excellent productivity results (PI >120 m3/d/bar) with minimal formation damage.
* Successfully supervised Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and System Integration Tests (SIT) for the Amenam-Kpono well completions equipment in Halliburton's Factory @ Carrolton, Dallas (U.S.A.). Generated a technical report and used the experience to optimise the Amenam/Kpono well completion programs.
* Revitalized the Amenam-Kpono Coiled Tubing Tenders. Evaluated technical and commercial proposals and made selection of a coiled tubing contractor. Followed up governmental agencies/authorities with persuasions and obtained an approval.
* Managed actively Amenam-Kpono completions contracts and the timely procurement of Amenam-Kpono completions materials.
* Managed the qualification of new completion components.
* Supervised the preparation of well completions sub-assemblies in the contractor's base.
* Supervised the execution of Amenam-Kpono well completion program offshore.
* Maintained an effective relationship with completion design and implementation specialists.
* Gave adequate technical directions and managerial support for in-progress operations on the rig.
* Identified completion risk and risk management.
* Conducted look-backs and debriefing as appropriate.
* Mentored and provided technical guidance to Graduate Engineers in development positions.
Other responsibilities:
* Nigerian Deepwater Exploration Sand Control Experience: AKPO, USAN, PREOWEI & EGINA Exploration wells: Successfully prepared, modelled and implemented various Sand Control (Frac pack, HRWP, IGP, etc) in offshore deepwater (up to 1500m of water depth) environment yielding low skin and low draw-down with substantial high productivity results (with a lot of lessons learnt for field developments in future).
* Acted as Head of Completions/Well servicing (in his absence) to manage the completions and intervention activities of all Nigerian fields (including onshore, offshore and deepwater offshore).
* Acted as Completion Superintendent for in-progress completion operations on the rig up to maximum of three (3) rigs at a time.
* Followed-up and evaluated various Petroleum Engineering studies for productivity enhancement and optimizations.
