1. As a Structural Engineer @ Aker Solutions, Kristiansand, Norway (From Nov06 to till date)

Project: Tubular Feeding Machine (TFM)
Rig Name: MPF 01 Drillship
Client: MPF Corporation, Norway

* Project involved complete Analysis of Tubular Feeding machine (topside structure).
* Work out the Dead loads, Safe working loads, Environment loads ( both wind and rig acceleration loads)
* Create the Geometric model in STAAD, apply all the loads and create load combinations for operating conditions and survival condition and analyzed the TFM and design it globally as per NS3472.
* Analysis of the supporting, anti-lift brackets other critical points of TFM, manually and FE analysis of Trolley using ANSYS.
* Lifting Analysis of the equipment as per DNV rules.
* Stability analysis of the TFM for the survival conditions.
* Fatigue analysis of TFM according to the SN curves given in FEM rules.

Project: DP-DC Fingerboard
Rig Name: Songa Dee Drilling Rig

* STAAD-Pro model preparation, Simulation of loads, load combinations and performing static analysis, design the members as per NS 3472 codal provisions.
* Carried out inplace and lifting analysis of DP-DC Fingerboard.
* Develop hand calculations for critical bolted and welded connections.
* Carried out the FE Analysis of finger board support plates using ANSYS.
* Fatigue check as per FEM rules.
* The reports are formatted in MathCAD.

Project: Upper Guiding Arm
Rig Name: Seadrill8 Semi submergible Rig
Client: Seadrill

* Simulation of geometric model and loads in STAAD as per design brief
* Performing static analysis, Code checks as per NS3472, Euro-code and FEM Rules
* Carried out inplace and lifting analysis of Upper guiding arm.
* Developed hand calculations for critical bolted and welded connections.
* The reports are formatted in MathCAD.

Project: Integrated Dolly for DDM-750 AC
Rig Name: MESA Drilling Rig

* Model Simulation of dolly in STAAD as FE model
* Performing static analysis, Code checks as per NS3472, Euro-code and FEM Rules
* Carried out inplace and lifting analysis of Upper guiding arm.
* Developed hand calculations for the boogie analysis and for the support arrangement to the derrick
* The design manual is created in MathCAD

In addition to the above equipments, I have worked on many other BOP, Pipe handling equipments and fabrication follow-ups of the topside structures of Aker MH old projects. Transport and lifting analysis based of Aker MH guide lines have been done for transport frames and cradles

Note: Worked as Structural Engineer from Nov 06 to Apr 08 with ITC Infotech Bangalore, India where I have worked for Aker Solutions Kristiansand and did the same work mentioned above. Hence the total experience with the Aker Solutions Kristiansand is from Nov 2006 to till date.

Equipment: Aker Kvaerner Barge
Responsibilities:
The existing barge needs to modify to suit to do the loadout and mating Of GJOA riser and P&Q modules. Complete analysis of the barge with the new alterations has been carried out and also checked locally against buckling and suggested the reinforcements at places. Complete welds have been checked based on the new analysis. Strength and stability of the barge locally for the loading it is subjected to. SESAM software has been used for global analysis of the barge. My duty is to check the barge locally using manual calculations and with the use of Stru program and Stipla softwares by taking the stresses/forces from the SESAM analysis.

3. As Structural Engineer with TRC Engineering (I) Pvt.Ltd. Bangalore, India Feb06 to Nov06

Project: Wacovia Tower
Client: J & C Inc

* Analysed and designed the 21 storied RCC building as a team member of 10 people group structural components like beam, column, using ADAPT RC, PCA softwares and cross check those results with existing In-house spread sheets. And Designed post tensioned slabs using ADAPT softwares as per Florida Building Code

Cross check the STAAD Pro results

* Cross check the analysis and design results of STAAD Pro, with manual calculations according US codes like ASCE 7-02, AISC-ASD, AISC-LRFD, AISI, ACI-318-02, when clients find some erroneous results out of STAAD Pro.

Note: Worked as Structural Engineer from Mar 03 to Apr 05 with a small construction company and was doing multi storied building analysis and design which is very similar type of job as I did in TRC Engineering
