Injection pattern optimization (isolating zones, opening prospective areas, injection allocation, well abandonment and replacing, infill drillings, etc.) according to the result trend. Partial and final reports. This project was the base for contract negotiation by Ecopetrol (the state company) with Occidental Inc. for the field concession.

Methodology Development to correlate Core and Log Data using QLA2 petrophysics software. Application development for hydraulic unit determination on an individual well analysis and extrapolation of these hydraulic units to non-cored wells. Delivers were used as a part of Dina Cretaceous field modeling (in Colombia) in order to describe the heterogeneity of the reservoir and generate new reserves.

Making of an internal paper related with the five-spot scaled model tests and participation in an internal contest, obtaining the 3d place among 12 projects. Understanding the fluid physical behavior into the porous media and how the injection rate and injected porous volume sensitivities can affect the recovery into the producer wells. Sensitivity runs changing the vertical homogeneous and heterogeneous media by creating layers with different porosity and permeability. Optimizing a scaled injection rate that represents a potential increasing of 2-3 % on recovery factor at the medium term in Casabe field for a type well.
