Schlumberger IM – December. 2005 – February 2009 (Seismic Outsource Solutions) – Contract Sr. Software Developer utilizing C, C++, Pro-C, Fortran, X-Windows Motif on Linux and Sun Solaris operating systems. Replaced legacy interactive seismic analysis and editing software consisting of numeric, graphical and statistical analysis capabilities. Developed interactive seismic viewer with enhanced data evaluation & formatting. Developed new methodology for cataloging and populating database with large (terabyte) inputs. Modified graphical capture of spatial geographic data, considerably reducing process failure due to intersecting boundaries & union failures related to SDE/ESRI generated polygons. Developed and implemented AVO/AVA stacking and attribute algorithms for interactive use with seismic interpretation package. Developed, maintained and debugged multiple overlapping applications and their integration. Products included (ProSource Seismic, GeoFrame Interpretation, Charisma Interpretation, SeisWorks, OpenWorks, Petrel Interpretation systems and related databases).
ABB Network Management - May 2001 - April 2005) - Contract Software Integrator for EMS SCADA software application operating on Digital Tru64 OS, HPUX, Windows NT & XP OS, Sun Solaris and other Linux/Unix platforms. Lead Software Integrator responsible for planning and execution of software revision upgrades to baseline inventory as well as project modified applications. Updated/modified application software developed using C, C++, Oracle, SQL, Motif, Fortran and Tcl/Tk. Developed database population routines for client custom applications using C, Oracle and SQL. Maintained Oracle databases for 24+ field projects using Oracle 7.3.x, Oracle 8i and Oracle 9i. Migrated 24+ major software installations for use in U.S., Canada, Central & South America, Europe, Asia and the Middle East. Schlumberger - GeoQuest - (Nov 1999 - May 2001, Contract Software Developer) - Programming in C, C++, Fortran for Oracle & Motif based geophysical software using Omniworks, Workshop, XDesigner tools on Sun/SGI platforms. Development of direct conversion utilities for conversion from Landmark Graphics OpenWorks, SeisWorks & Z-Map exploration formats to GeoQuest GeoFrame (IESX, CHARISMA, etc.) formats. Developed Motif-based application to perform the conversion of seismic time/depth data. Provided development input in a multi-team development environment for geologic well data/formats, coordinate (GPS) data/formats, seismic loading/storage formats, seismic interpretation (horizon/fault/synthetic) data. Etc.
ABB Network Management - (Aug 1999 - Nov 1999, Contract Software Integrator) – Y2K Integration, Support & Testing for Ranger Software using Digital Unix, C, Oracle, SQL, Motif, Fortran, Tcl/Tk, proprietary database & program debugging tools. Updated application software to include year 2000 format changes for energy systems with English, Spanish & Norweigan GUI interfaces.
