A. SHARQ, (SABIC AFFILIATE PETROCHEMICAL COMPANY, JUBAIL)

Position: Mechanical Engineer
Duration: April 2002 Onwards

Brief Description of Unit- SHARQ is the large petrochemical company consisting of two Polyethylene and Three Ethylene Glocol Plants.

Duties and Responsibilities

* Providing the technical support to fied maintenance department for carrying out preventive, breakdown and shutdown maintenance.
* Carying out root cause analysis and giving suggestions.
* Identification of criticality of various stationary and rotating equipment as a part of Reliability Centered Maintenace.
* Identification of spare required for critical/ semicritical equipment to improve the reliabilty of equipment.
* Preparation of technical specification for carriying out plant management of change request.
* Review the shutdown maintenance package as a part of shutdown maintenace preparation.
* Identification of spares required for shutdown maintenance.
* Coordination with various vendors for carriyng out the maintenance in plant.
* Involved in spare parts optimizing project of SHARQ warehouse with a plan of reducing inventory of 230 Million SR to 150 Million SR in two years.
* Identification and disposal of asbestos gaskets available in SHARQ warehouse and replenishment with non asbestos material. Fixation of inventory level of gaskets.
* Identification and disposal of obsolete items available in SHARQ warehouse.
* Identification and removal of non moving piping items in SHARQ warehoue and revision of Inventory level for slow moving and non moving items in warehouse for inventory optimization.

B. IBN RUSHD( SABI AFFILIATE PETROCHEMICAL COMPANY)

Position: Mechanical Engineer
Duration: April 2000 to March 2002

Brief Description of Unit:- IBN RUSHD is a large Petrochemical Complex consisting of PTA, Aromatics and Polyster plant of production capacities 150, 000 MT per year, 730,000 MT per year & 145,000 MT per year respectively.

Duties & Responsibilities

* Providing technical assistance to the field maintenance department for preventive, predictive & shutdown maintenance.
* Coordinating with maintenance Department for trouble shooting of various rotating equipment.
* Developing maintenance procedure for Rotating Equipments.
* Preparation of Preventive/ Shutdown maintenance schedule of the equipment depending uopn its criticality.
* Involve in study, identification and recommendation of spare parts for various rotating and stationary equipment for improving the reliability and efficiency of equipment.
* Preparation of spare parts interchangeability record.
* Recommendation of maximum/ minimum quantities of spare parts in line with criticality of equipment and cost of spare parts.
* Review of quotation for procurement of spare parts and clarification of technical quaries.
* Coordination with various vendors for procurement of spare parts.

C. Technimont Arabia Ltd. for the construction of L.D.P.E. plant of Al-Jubail
Petrochemical co.(kemya) Saudi Arabia

Position Held: Mechanical Engineer
Duration: Oct. '99 to Mar. 2000

Duties & Responsibilities

Was involved in construction activities of plant like monitoring the progress of Piping Erection, preparation of Punch List, witness of Hydraulic Testing & Air Blowing of Piping.

RASHTRIYA CHEMICALS AND FERTILIZERS LTD., INDIA

Brief Description of Unit: - Rashtriya Chemicals and Fertilizers Ltd. (R.C.F.) is one of the largest fertilizers and chemicals complex in India. Unit consisting of major plants like Ammonia, Urea, Methanol, NPK, Bagging etc.

Worked in Mechanical Maintenance department of following plants

AMMONIA PLANT

Duration: August '92 to Sept. '99

Duties & Responsibilities:

* Heading a team of technicians and was responsible for Preventive, breakdown and shutdown maintenance of rotating and stationary equipment of Ammonia plant.
* Annual shutdown maintenance planning.
* Procurement of spares for emergent, routine & shutdown maintenance job. Evaluation of tenders and interaction with vendors for procurement of spares.
* Lining up the contract with outside agencies for carrying out jobs during shutdown of plant
* Coordination with condition monitoring department for improving the equipment reliability.
* Carried out vibration analysis for trouble shooting of rotating equipment.
* Preparation of departmental budget.
* Manpower planning and control.

Major Equipment Handeled

* Steam turbine of rating 28 MW having maximum operating steam pressure of 100KG/ Sq CM.
* Centrifugal compressor for Synthesis Gas, Air, Ammonia and Carbon Dioxide services. Maximum compressor discharge pressure 220kg/cm2.
* Various back pressure type steam turbines.
* Centrifugal Pumps for Boiler Feed Water, Benfield Solution, Cooling Water and other services.
* Reciprocating Compressors for Ammonia and air services.
* Cooling tower fan, ID fan and Air cooler fans.
* Associated Gas Primary Reformer with 240 Nos. Manurite 36xM Catalyst tube of inlet / outlet temperature 480 / 920 deg.C.
* Finned Fan Tube Type Heat Exchanger, Shell Tube Type Heat Exchanger.
* Vessels, Columns, Reactors etc.
* Waste heat boiler with tube side pressure 110 kg/m2

BAGGING PLANT

Duration: May 1990 to August 92
Preventive/Breakdown/Shutdown maintenance of Salt scrapper, stitching machine, belt conveyor etc.

Achivements

* Reduction of SHARQ wrehouse inventory by 20 Million by identification of obsolete spares due to not in use and non moving, reduction in inventory level due to slow movement and developement of local vendor.
* Succefully installation and comissiong of Dresser Rand make 1.5 MW steam turbine as a drive for Benfield solution pump.
* Succefully replacement of synthesis gas convertor baskets to reduce sysntheis gas loop pressure from 240KG/Sq CM to 210 KG/Sq CM and increasing Ammonia convertion rate from 16% to 19%.
* Succefully replacement of cooling tower fan blades to hollow FRP blades to reduce the power consumption from 120KW to 75 KW per fan.

Computer Knowledge

Good working knowledge of SAP (PM and MM Module), and RAMIS software used for registration and searching of spares.
Good working knowledge of MS WORD, MS EXCEL and MS PROJECT.

Additional Information:-

Familiar with ASTM, standard for Pipe & Pipe Fittings, API standards for rotating Equipment.
Familiar with Welding Technique, pre and post Weld Heat Treatment, non destructive testing methods.

Education:-

B.E. (Mechanical) from Regional Institute of Technology, Jamshedpur in 1989.
