CHIEF TASKS HANDLED:

A. Health & Safety Management: Developing H & S Management plan & overseeing the implementation. Conducting safety inspections Occupational Health (OH) surveys, surveillance & field auditing for compliance. Preparing daily, weekly and monthly status reports to monitor compliance. Devising & implementing emergency response plan. Conducting investigation of all incidents / OH issues and suggestions recommendations.

B. Environmental Management: Overseeing establishment, certification and maintenance of the system and the required documents as per Environmental Management System. Reviewing policies /procedures and suggesting improvements. Implementing waste management system and reduction measures. Ensuring environment legislative requirement compliance and documentation.

C. Fire Protection/ Loss Prevention: Coordinating & advising on fire fighting equipment / facilities, schedule & plan periodical maintenance. Conducting audit/mock drills to ensure the fire prevention, Personnel & equipments for emergency preparedness, Preparing fire & Emergency plans, mitigation measures & compliances are in place and also to identify the areas for improvement. Organising the training, determining the nature of hazards & instructed action plans in event of any emergency or gas detection suggested necessary measures for the better conditions of the work environment (WE).

D. Quality Assurance / Control: Assisting in preparation and review of the quality system manual for the Organisation, rendering expertise in development of the quality procedures in collaboration with all the departmental heads and other concerned. Establishing, implementing and maintaining the quality management systems in line with all of the relevant parameters prescribed in the policy statements, vision set by the Organisation and others standards, etc.

E. Training: Imparting safety induction training, permit to work. Training of personnel to use fire protection equipment, Occupational health, emergency preparedness, etc. Conducting training on evacuation of buildings. Imparting advice on HSE policies, procedures. Rendering trainings on General Health, Safety and Environment, Industrial first aid, Swimming survival course, Basic fire fighting course, Defensive driving course (DDC), Environmental Awareness Training (EAT).

On going Key Projects: Integrated Field Development Projects
HSE support during just concluded pre-shutdown, shutdown and post shutdown of Addax OML 123 oil/gas field offshore to change production manifold and associated work in order to increase total oil output
Supervision of under listed contractors to perform safely and deliver without Lost Time Incident (LTI) Monitoring the pipeline constructions by the firms for Addax Petroleum Corporation.
ƒ° Willbros Nigeria Limited: Provision of Barges for Offshore constructions in the OML 123 and Okwuri fields.
ƒ° Compact Manifolds Engineering Services: Construction of Adanga caisson for Adanga A &B, Drill Template, Sump Tank and Walkway
ƒ° DPS Oil Services Nigeria Limited: Construction of Top Side Main-deck, construction of platform accessories for Adanga South Water Injection Platform.
ƒ° Chief Engineers Limited: Construction of Main deck for offshore platform at Adanga North field.
ƒ° Dover Engineering Limited: Supervision of engineering design for Adanga Platform.
ƒ° WECO Engineering & Construction Co. Ltd.: Construction of Oron South West Deck integration.
ƒ° Brown Rocks Nigeria Limited: Construction of several components of deck for Adanga North B platform.

NOTEWORTHY CONTRIBUTIONS

ƒ° Once in an oil field installation, a travelling block hit my employee. Initiated emergency response that brought him onshore and unto the hospital. His life was saved and his fractured bones restored due to my swift action - Weatherford Nigeria Limited, Nigeria.
ƒ° Also, when impersonators attempted to rob the employers on grounds of pollutions, made sure they were caught and punished - Chesroc Nigeria Limited, Nigeria.
