Professional Experience

Worked as a Piping Engineer on various projects as listed below, the activities involved are -

* Generating documents such as General arrangement drawings, Equipment layout, Nozzle orientation sheets for the different mechanical equipments, Piping Layouts, isometrics, special support sketches, etc.

* Studying & analyzing P&ID & PFD. Preparation of Equipment Drawing. Reinforcement pad Miter Bend calculations. Checking Piping GA's against P & ID's.

* Worked on onshore/offshore sites for spool erection and fabrication on basis of isometric drawings of oil rigs. Modification of piping line as per requirement. Study/Review of P & I Diagrams, Engineering Data Sheets, Basic Process Package and Technical Specifications.
* Preparation of fit up reports and daily erection reports. Responsible for welding of supports on desired orientations for line routing. Responsible for checking of fabricated pipes as per drawings in shop and field.

* Acting as a Checker for the technical deliverables for a project. Ultimately being responsible for smooth & timely executing the project with high level technical accuracy meeting with clients expectations.

* Piping routing sketching & modeling as per the system requirements using P&I diagrams. Pipe wall thickness calculations, Preparation of Piping specification class. Pipe spans Calculation & selection of supports.

* Worked on small bore line modeling, large bore lines modification as per Process. Checking Interferences in Piping as well as Equipment Layout in PDS software. Isometric checking. P&ID changes coordinate with Process.

* Coordinating with Mechanical department for the freezing of nozzle orientation, vessel clip orientation for pipe supports, platform.

* Generating spool iso, critical line list for stress analysis from the P & IDs.

* Manpower planning as per schedule, Progress reporting, Co-ordination with other departments in-house, with the Client & Vendors.

* Responsible for maintaining daily documentations.

* Well acquainted with the different international codes and standards used in the process industries like ASME, ANSI, API and DIN etc.

* Worked as site engineer for installation, fabrication, modification of pipes on site as well as in workshop.

* Worked on live plants for tie-in jobs, like hot tap, ccpw, bolt up,cut and weld tie ins and installation of supports/structures/pipes on desired locations and orientations on site.
