Areas of Interest:
Reservoir (Static) Modeling
Seismic Interpretation
Professional Experience:
Four years of experience in the field of exploration and production. Currently working as a Geoscientist in Roxar ASA (now part of Emerson), Abu Dhabi for the last two years. Actively involved in reservoir modeling using the state of art technology of various Irap RMS modules. Expertise in structural modeling, horizon modeling, 3D grid designing, facies modeling, property modeling, Sw modeling and volumetric, well planning and uncertainty analysis.
Previously worked in Reliance Industries Limited (www.ril.com), Petroleum Business, E&P (India), for nearly two years. Experience in working with Joint Venture Operations (British Gas, ONGC and RIL). Involved in seismic data interpretation (LANDMARK) and reservoir modeling (using Petrel).
Education:
M.Tech. (Master of Technology) in Geo-exploration, 8.9/10.0 CPI, from IIT Bombay, Mumbai, India, 2005. Thesis title: Study of crustal structure of Cambay rift (Gujarat, India) using Receiver Function Analysis (IIT Bombay, India & University of Karlsruhe, Germany).
M.Sc. (Master of Science) in Geology, 66.0%, First class from University of Kerala, Kariavattom, Kerala, India, 2001. Thesis title: Geological investigation in and around Kannanellur (Tamil Nadu, India) with special focus on heavy minerals of Nambiyar River sands.
B.Sc. in Geology, 72.4%, First class from M.G.University, Kottayam, Kerala, India, 1999.
Project Title: Glass sands of Cherthalai, Alleppey, India
Technical Experience
Involved in IOR-JSP (3D reservoir modeling project) for NIOC and JV partners - Shell, Total, Statoil and PETRONAS).
Provided one and a half year onsite technical (Irap RMS) support for maintaining and updating reservoir models for our major clients (ADNOC Group of companies, DPE, KOC, Saudi Aramco, and BG India. This includes supporting twenty plus Geoscientists using RMS in the ME and SW Asian countries. Exposed to various types of data sets and modeling strategies.
Provided trainings to clients (Course: Orientation on Irap RMS for Statoil Hydro, Introduction to Reservoir Modeling using Irap RMS for Petroleum Institute and Kuwait Oil Company, Well Planning in RMS for ONGC, Introduction Seismic Attribute Analysis using Visual VoxAt for Oil India).
Expertise in seismic data interpretation (seismic attribute analysis, seismic facies mapping, spectral decomposition and velocity modeling) using Visual VoxAt (a product of Geomodeling Inc., part of Roxar)
Experienced in various interpretation workstations, e.g. Landmark and Paradigm. Also experienced in various mapping systems, e.g. Zmap+.
Involved in interacting with Joint Venture partners (British Gas, ONGC and RIL), Govt. representatives (DGH) and other concerned personnel regarding exploration & development plan and miscellaneous technical matters (TCM's and other meetings).
Seminars and Workshops
Presented and provided workshops on RMS and Visual VoxAT for the Roxar Technology
Day conducted for ADNOC Group of companies in Abu Dhabi (2008 & 2009).
Presented and provided workshops on RMS and Visual VoxAt for the Roxar Technology
Day conducted in Saudi Aramco (Saudi Arabia), BG and ONGC (India) in 2009.
