Project Engineer, CI-27 Foxtrot International, Abidjan, Cote D'Ivoire: lead the modification of onshore gas receiving and processing facility with additional HP Gas Reduction Unit, Indirect Fired Heater, Flare and Condensate Vapor Recovery Units. Other upgrades include addition of new production separators, dehydration and compression units, with additional well support guide to offshore platform and 14" pipeline loop installation adjacent to an existing 12" gas pipeline to provide increased gas delivery capacities onshore.
S&B Engineers and Constructors (Houston, Texas) 2005 – 2008
Project Manager, INEOS Olefins/Polymers Alliance Project, La-Porte, TX: managed 35 small-to-mid capital projects in Polypropylene and polyethylene Units. Lead the engineering, design and risk management for turn-around (TAR) shutdown. Notable projects include: Catalyst Conditioning Unit Reliability, Compressor Suction Liquid Carryover Protection, PSV Study and Corrections, and Steam Piping Upgrade.
Project Engineer, Shell PAPA-WOSCAT Project, Port Allen, LA: coordinated the specification and technical review of equipments for the Port Allen Precipitated Alumina (PAPA) facility. Overall scope is to design and procure equipments required for the expansion of the existing PAPA facility to produce hydro-treating catalysts from the newly constructed World-Scale hydro-processing Catalyst Manufacturing (WOSCAT) Facility.
Project Engineer, CITGO Alliance Project, Lake Charles, LA: lead the retrofit and optimization of the refinery's CAT, Kerosene and Alkylation Units to attain business, safety and reliability goals. The project included: CAT Regenerator Internals Replacement; CAT Process Enhancements - increase feed rate and capacity to burn coke; Bender System Upgrade, New Kerosene HTU installation, and BOH/BLCOH De-bottlenecking.
Project Engineer, Clean Fuels Project, Big West LLC, Bakersfield, CA: lead front-end and detailed engineering design and procurement for a new HF Alkylation Process Unit of the refinery. Overall objective is to reliably and efficiently increase gasoline and diesel production by 65% without increasing the amount of crude oil processed. The process technology included Reactor, Fractionation C3 and C4 treating and neutralization units.
Project Engineer, BP Refinery Alliance Project, Texas-City, TX: lead retrofit and optimization of the docks and oil movement unit's facilities to attain business, safety and reliability goals. Projects include Loading-arm upgrade, Dock access structural integrity upgrade.
ICM Engineering Inc. (Colwich, Kansas) 2002 - 2005
Project Engineer, East Kansas Agri Energy Project, Garnett, KS: lead EPC of 35 MGY ethanol plant designed to use steam let-down for turbine power generation. An industry record was set with eight months construction schedule. Lead the start-up and commissioning team.
Project Engineer, Trenton Agri Products Project, Trenton, NE: lead EPC of 40 MGY ethanol facilities. Produced detail equipment specifications and requisitioning. Reviewed vessel drawings/documentations, verified nozzle loads, hangers, and supports on coded vessels, inspect equipments and vessels fabrication to ensured compliance with piping welding procedures per ASTM codes.
National Engineering and Technical Company (Lagos, Nigeria) 2000 - 2002
Facilities Engineer, Bonga Deepwater Project, Shell Nigeria Exploration and Production Co., Nigeria: performed the detail design of the flare system for the floating, production, storage, and offloading, (FPSO) topside offshore facilities. Analyzed and determined the flare boom length, weight, burner capacity, flaring capacity, air injection requirements, operating and test pressure, and thermal radiation per process requirement.
Facilities Engineer, Escravos Gas Project, Chevron Nigeria Ltd, Nigeria: designed upgrade of Okan Gas Gathering and Compression Platform (GGCP) Jackets 25/28 and Delta-South Production Platform Jackets 35/36 for gas gathering/lift to support two new platforms; Meji GGCP (Gas Gathering and Compression Platform) and Okan NWP (Non Associated Gas Wellhead Platform).
Facilities Engineer, LNG Train 3 Expansion Project, NLNG Co., Nigeria: designed an additional gas train to the gas liquefaction facilities to safely increase the processing of the stabilized condensate from existing condensate stabilization trains 1 and 2 from the common fractionation unit for re-injection into the FEED gas. Capacity increase by 50% - an additional 3.7 billion cubic meters per annum.
