I am seeking a full-time position with an established organization where there is a need for the discovery of new seismic data processing techniques. My expertise lies in my ability to implement new methods of data processing in the development of innovative seismic programs. I have a proven record of significantly increasing petroleum discovery, distribution and sales.

My strengths are my ability to take charge and work well within a team environment and in my experience in developing algorithms from concept phase to commercial implementation, signal/image processing and C++/Matlab/Fortran programming. I also have a strong background in PDE solvers, computational fluid dynamics and heat transfer technology.

Professional Experience

Current: Project leader Velocity Modeling Group – Nexus Geosiences Inc.
Management and delivery of full seismic imaging volumes to Oil and Gas clients like BHP Billiton, StatoilHydro, PEMEX, Total, etc. - from preprocessing, tomography velocity modeling and updating, salt modeling and interpretation from the Gulf of Mexico, Africa and Australia. I have successfully completed projects from Marine Data to Land Data, seismic 3D interpretation, salt modeling, etc.

Jan 2007 Jan 2008: Research Geoscientist – Nexus Geosciences Inc.
Developed DYNAMo, a new software packages for data visualization, integrated with new seismic migration methods, based on diplets processing and 4D regularization schemes.

April 2005-Dec 2006: Post Doctoral Fellow - Bureau of Economic Geology, University of Texas
Developed new and innovative techniques for the interpretation of 2D and 3D data imaging with proven results toward the discovery of pockets of potential energy reserves. Collaborated with Dr. Sergey Fomel on the Riemaninan Wavefield Extrapolation project with applications on imaging of steeply dipping or overturning reflections and on AMO. Contributed significantly to the development of the newly introduced fluid dynamic software: Regularly Sampled File (RSF)

August 2004: Research Imaging Consultant – Petroleum Geo-Services (PGS) UK
Implemented new methods of PED for the 3D Surface-related Multiple Elimination and Wave Migration algorithms based on a differential form that combines an Asymptotic Inversion with a Finite Difference Demigration. Worked on an innovated source extrapolation technique for shot continuation on a similar procedure to the plane-wave destruction and offset continuation.

Nov. 2001 - 2004: Research Assistant - University of Houston (MOSRP)
Generalization of Robert Stolt's "Data Reconstruction" and the implications of 'Missing Data' near the source for Free Surface and Internal multiple Attenuation. Worked on the implications for the inverse series of finite data and the inherent problems of extrapolation.
