Job integrated, choosing the best solution in co-ordination with various vendors, preparation of functional specific documents, engineering drawings, project budget estimation.
3) Detailed design of new SDH transmission systems and up gradations at various locations of Saudi Aramco which facilitates for Voice, Data and SCADA Communications.
4) Support for implementation of SCADA communication transmission systems for various valve sites, RTU sites distributed along the East-west pipelines of Saudi Aramco.
5) Network survey and continuing detailed design of transmission network at six offshore locations of Saudi Aramco.
6) Detail design engineering for SDH, OTN, and DATA n/w system upgrade at various locations of Saudi Aramco.
7) Construction support for various field implementations and up gradations of transmission systems.
8) Project proposal and detailed design of Point-to-Point Ethernet FTTH solution for Sumitomo Corp, Japan for a major project in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
9) Preliminary engineering for replacement of mobile radio network of Saudi Aramco.
10) Project proposal and engineering for Data Network replacement project. This project will replace the existing In-Kingdom Corporate ATM data network of Saudi Aramco with Layer-2 Gigabit Ethernet Access switches, Layer-2/Layer-3 Campus backbone distribution switches, and Layer-3 WAN Core backbone routers to construct an all IP, high speed, multi-service Gigabit data network.
I am amid the Transmission engineering team involved in preparation of engineering plan to upgrade the existing backbone SDH&DWDM systems to adapt this new change in data network systems.

Experience at Reliance Communications, India

Backbone Transmission Engineer – Network Rollout
Role involved all the processes necessary to bring a transmission requirement from concept through into operation within the Reliance transmission networks.

Jobs included but was not limited to:
* Request for creation of the Engineering Order Request (EOR) to Network planning & engineering team at National Headquarters,
* The resultant analysis of received EORs.
* Support for creating project budgets.
* Site surveys- equipment surveys, fiber route surveys, business surveys.
* Installation, commissioning, integration, circuit provisioning, Operations & Maintenance.
Role:
MCN In charge - MCN stands for Media Convergence Node. Basically it's a Network transmission station converging traffic from SDH subtended rings to the Optical fiber backbone network. I was amid the transport team involved in setting up the optical/MW/copper services in kerala circle, India.

Additional Roles:
* Microwave Transmission Engineer: Fibre route planning at take off points, Line of Sight (LOS) survey, Installation, & commissioning of SDH/PDH, UBR microwave systems for BTS traffic, optical spur Ring closures, fixed access network etc.
* Fixed Access Wireline planning Engineer: Planning and Implementation of Access network Infrastructure which includes MAN, BAN for Metro broadband project. Preliminary study for WiMAX project at Kollam.
* Planning, Installation, Commissioning of routers and switches for Metro Ethernet, Network visibility etc. The Reliance communications data Network (RDN) serves as the core for Metro Ethernet and enterprise broadband. Other Data communication projects include Planning and setup of routers at Microwave, POI, DLC locations for Network element visibility to NOC.

Significant Role: Worked in Operations & Maintenance at a lead engineer level, managing the day to day maintenance of SDH transmission systems for Base transceiver stations and Fixed access networks. Alarm monitoring & Fault resolutions by a team of shift engineers and technicians.
Major achievements at Reliance Communications i) Involved in the rollout of dedicated optical transmission network for Reliance Communications at Kerala Circle in India covering 230 Base Transceiver stations & 4 DWDM/DX sites.
ii) Designed and Implemented the transmission interconnect network for Point of interconnect (POI) for 8 SDCAs with Bharath Sanchar Nigam Ltd at Kerala in India.
iii) Planning and Implementation of Fixed Access network Infrastructure for Metro broadband project at Kollam, Kerala, India.
iv) Active involvement in the setup of DWDM submarine optical transmission systems at Submarine Cable landing Station of FLAG telecom, Trivandrum for India-Maldives 500Km DWDM Link (FALCON Project).
