* Developed effective rig acquisition and divestment strategies. Negotiated various rig contracts (Floaters and Jack-ups). Successfully executed (inter)national rig sharing opportunities (sublets and farm-ins).
* Liaison of all stakeholders in Shell drilling projects, including the Malaysian government (Petronas). Applied for and been granted in excess of US$ 800 million approval for spending on drilling rigs.
* Recently identified, matured and executed various rig farm-outs, valued over US$70 million. Negotiated US$ 12 million off from existing rig contracts.
* Process owner of the integrated drilling activity planning. Ensured stakeholder alignment.
* Leading Well Engineering input into the annual Shell Business Planning exercise.
* Monitoring Well Engineering progress against strategic objectives and compile management reports for Shell EP Asia and the Global Shell E&P Group.

* 'New Technology' implementation. Conceptual development of advanced surface and subsurface drilling and production technologies for deep offshore HPHT wells.
* Developed down-hole drilling tools for depleted and instable reservoirs.
* Performed a feasibility study on casing drilling in the Brent field, including Environmental Legislation issues. Conceptual design of intelligent completions.
1994 – 1999 Rig Superintendent
1996 – 1999 SHELL UK EXPLORATION AND PRODUCTION, SCOTLAND, UK.
* Managed the drilling operations of a £100 million sub-sea gas/condensate development project in the Central North Sea. Responsible for design, planning and execution of customer specified production performance wells. The project included long horizontal near-HPHT gas/condensate wells.
* Developed a commercially successful incentive drilling services contract and rationalized existing services contracts and Shell Service Level Agreements.
* Led HSE audits and accident investigation teams. Chaired contractor Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) meetings.
1994 – 1996 SARAWAK SHELL BHD (SSB/SSPC), EAST MALAYSIA (SARAWAK-BORNEO)
* Led an integrated Drilling/Petroleum Engineering team for several offshore (platform) oil development drilling campaigns in the South China Sea.
* Managed drilling operations on 2 jack-ups simultaneously.
* Developed and implemented Incentive Drilling and Completion contracts.
