JOB PROFILE & RESPONSIBILITES (Design Engineer)

 Managing various boiler design projects with the help of subordinate engineers and draftspersons.
 Preparation and piping and instrumentation (P&I) drawings based on level of atomization to be provided in boiler.
 Pipeline designing viz. size and route of pipelines, valves selection involved in pipe lines, insulation etc.
 Manage a team of subordinate engineers and draft persons for the analysis and design of various pressure and non-pressure parts and for the preparation of detailed drawings to be used by production department for manufacturing and by erection engineers for erecting the same at site.
 Monitor all current boiler designing requirements and communicate those clearly and consistently to subordinate engineers and draftspersons.

 Preparation of General Arrangement Drawings based on the thermal design requirements and reports the same to the draftspersons and to the client.
 Strength calculations of pressure parts ad prepare records and detailed drawings for the same.
 Site visits to check the proper layout of RCC structural columns and to solve the localized problems if any.
 Selection of feed pumps and preparing technical delivery conditions (T.D.C.) for various control valves and other components considering input & output parameters of flowing medium.
 Discussing the design related problems with consultants and with site engineers that arises due to complicated thermal designs.
 Determining materials, piping etc. for boiler manufacturing.
 Establishing standards for manufacturing according to engineering principles and safety regulations.

* A.F.B.C boiler for M/s Amrit Banaspati Co. Ltd. Rajpura – 22 T.P.H. capacity, 45 Kg/cm² pressure, 440 ºC steam outlet temperature.
