A Fortune 500 Company delivering engineering, procurement, construction, maintenance (EPCM), and project management to government and diverse industry clients around the world.
PRINCIPAL PROCESS ENGINEER
Led various domestic and overseas oil and gas design projects (upstream and downstream) and supporting infrastructure systems. These include Onshore infrastructure project, Offshore gas gathering project, grassroots refinery units and utility and offsite projects, and revamps of existing refinery units. Supervised the production of the process engineering deliverables, production of design basis documents, PFDs, MSDs, P&IDs, equipment datasheets, instrument datasheets, and provided input for the development of project schedules and reviews of vendor packages.
Highlights
* Carried out the design and development of Firewater, Raw Water, Utility Water, Potable Water, Open Drain and Sanitary waste for Exxon Neftegas Ltd. in Sakhalin, Russia.
* Led the design of a high-pressure, long distance, sub-sea gas offshore to onshore pipeline for Chevron's Escravos Gas Project in Nigeria.
* Executed the detailed engineering phase of Marathon Petroleum's, Garyville, La. major refinery expansion project.
* Reconfigured the ConocoPhillips', Roxana, Illinois, Wood River Core Expansion petroleum refinery project to accept heavy crude oil.
SENIOR PROCESS ENGINEER
Prepared process simulation, heat and material balance, PFDs, MSDs, P&IDs, utility summary, and equipment and instrument datasheets. Performed hydraulic calculations, and evaluated existing equipment, piping and instrument to ensure compliance with revamp conditions. Prepared specifications of new equipment, calculation of relief valve loading, specification of battery limit pressure requirements, and review of existing pumps and piping. Also maintained job schedule and budget and actualized documents for the health, safety and environmental (HSE) review.
Highlights
* Originated FEED package for phase 1 of a 3-phase plan to develop a crude oil transshipping terminal, with a capacity of 204,000 TPY for the Sintez Group marine terminal project in Murmansk, Russia.
* Prepared a FEED package for a revamp project of Marathon, St. Paul, Mn. Refinery FCCU.

Senior Process Engineer continued
* Revamped an existing Diesel Hydrotreater to desulfurize FCC heavy Cat Naphtha to meet Tier II gasoline, thus converting the Diesel Hydrotreater to a Heavy Cat Naphtha Hydrotreater, for Lion Oil in Arkansas.
* Designed facilities to convert the existing, manual, tank-to-tank, gasoline blending system to an automated and in-line gasoline blending system, for Valero Energy Corp., Houston, Texas.
* Designed systems to enable the expansion of the existing gas gathering field production facilities at Tengiz and Korolev, Kazakhstan, to provide sufficient production to meet the base second generation project requirements.
* As part of the ChevronTexaco, Pascagoula, Mississippi Clean Fuels project, designed and updated facilities to enable "Oil Movement" of refined products from the originating units to the new destination, as required to: reconfigure the refinery process units, meet the Tier II sulfur standards for gasoline, and expand the capacity of the Coker Unit.
PROCESS ENGINEER II
Executed various US and overseas projects and performed miscellaneous process design calculations as required by the different project phases – conceptual design, FEED and detailed engineering. Developed PFDs, P&IDs, plot plans and equipment layouts, D&R drawings, hydraulic calculations, equipment specification, process studies, tie-in list, line list, HAZOPS review and provision of technical support to other design disciplines. Modified, upgraded and de-mothballed critical gas-oil separation plants and other production facilities.
Highlights
* As part of the revamp of the BP Chemicals', Green Lake, Texas, Acrylonitrile plant adding a third reactor train, modeled the three flare systems and verified adequacy of existing relief system for the increased loads.
* Designed abatement solution for the emission of hydrocarbon vapors from the Acetylene Unit's Quench Water cooling towers for DuPont's Acetylene Unit in Deer Park, Texas.
* Designed facilities to provide feed preparation and other Offsite facilities to support the new 30,000 BPD TAME production unit for Exxon's Baton Rouge, Louisiana TAME production plant.
