CIVIL DESIGNER

Santos GLNG Upstream Project (FEED Phase) Coal Seam Gas Industry
(Sept 2009 - Present) Queensland, Australia

Santos and its partner PETRONAS will invest approximately $7.7 billion in Queensland to build the world's first major facility to convert coal seam gas to liquefied natural gas. GLNG is a significant step in Australia's efforts to develop cleaner energy for the future. The first stage of the project is expected to be complete by 2014, at which time GLNG will produce around 3 to 4 million tonnes of LNG each year. This will be exported to major natural gas consumers throughout the world. At its peak, GLNG is expected to produce up to 10 million tonnes of LNG per annum.

Performed earthworks design and calculation which includes cut & fill balancing for the most economical and strategic location of compressor pad and pond, prepare geometric layouts, profiles, cross sections and grading design using Inroads. Also responsible in the preparation of 2D drawings such as Borehole Location Plan, Site Grading Plan and Road Plan & Profile using Microstation.

Brazos Electric Power Cooperative, Inc. Power Plant
(Jul 2009 – Sept 2009) Jack County, Texas

This project is the second unit of a two unit combined-cycle facility. The project consists of engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and performance testing of a combined-cycle power plant producing a nominal 620 MW. The plant is to be operated as a Base Load plant, running an average of 8,500 hours per year (non-overhaul years) or 7,530 hours per year (major overhaul years). Anticipated plant annual start-ups shall be less than 120.

As a designer, I was responsible in routing/modeling of Underground Piping Sewer Line (OWS) in Water Treatment Area and afterwards perform Isometric Drawing Extraction and checking. Also responsible in creating plans for Finish Grading & Paving as well as Standard Details. Furthermore, task includes checking of drawings produced by co-designers to ensure it complies with all necessary corporate and departmental requirements, to guarantee that the necessary consistency and quality of delivery is maintained and coordinating to other discipline specifically Piping and Structural team regarding drain hub locations and model clash issues.

Tesoro Los Angeles Refinery Petrochemical Complex
(Jul 2009) Wilmington, California, USA

Tesoro's Los Angeles refinery is located in Wilmington, Calif. on approximately 300 acres in the South Bay of the City of Los Angeles. At 97,000 barrels per day, it is the third largest refinery in Tesoro's system. The refinery was acquired by Tesoro in May 2007 and processes heavy crude from California's San Joaquin Valley and Los Angeles Basin as well as imported crudes from South America and other international sources via the Port of Long Beach. The refinery manufactures gasoline, jet fuel, diesel fuels, petroleum coke and fuel oil.

Worked as a part time Designer and Checker of drawings such as Combined Underground Piping Plan, Finish Grading & Paving Plan and as well as Standard details & sections to ensure consistency & quality. Perform clash check and resolution using Interclash.

Habshan V – (Advance Eng'g Phase) Petrochemical Complex
(Jun 2009 – July 2009) Habshan, Abu Dhabi, UAE

Gasco is planning to transfer up to additional 900 MMscfd of HP Gas from Umm Shaif to Habshan through Das Island. The produced gas will be initially processed at Umm Shaif and then send to Das Island. The gas will be conditioned for export to Habshan through the new 30" pipeline. At Habshan, this gas will be combined with excess gas from Habshan 1 and routed to Habshan 5 for sweetening, drying and optimum production of residue gas, which will be sent to the sales gas header, and NGL, which will be sent to storage. The NGL will then be sent to Ruwals for further fractionation and treating.

Primary task includes modeling of surface for all areas based on the information on the plot plan and calculations provided by the engineer using Inroads and Microstation, creating of preliminary plan drawings for Finish Grading and Paving as well as Combined Underground Piping Plans using SP3D and Drawing Editor. Was also responsible in checking of drawings prior to submission.

REC SOLAR Project Industrial Complex (Oct 2008 –Feb 2009) Tuas View, Singapore

Greenfield manufacturing facility comprising buildings and infrastructure, cell building, wafer, and module. The project is anticipated to break ground in June 2008 and is scheduled for completion in 2010. Once the plant is built, REC will use the facility to manufacture solar power cells.

Was assigned as back-up lead for civil team coordinating with other discipline to develop design deliverables and in charged of the works of the lead in his absence. Perform 3D modeling of grading surface, trenches, sumps, and underground piping such as sewer lines, firewater lines, cold & hot water supply and waste water lines using PDS and Inroads. Also responsible in preparing detailed design plans for finish grading & paving, manhole/catch basin details, plumbing layout & isometrics, underground piping plan and standard details & sections using Autocad and Microstation within the estimated time frame and in compliance with the Singapore standards. Perform design flow calculation for trenches, material take-off of underground services, model checking using Interclash & SPR.

LDK Polysilicon Project Industrial Complex (2008) Xinyu City, Jiangxi, China

$1.5 billion grass roots Polysilicon complex producing 15,000 TPA Photovoltaic (PV) Polycrystalline Silicon (PCS) and 90,000 TPA Trichlorosilane (TCS).

As part of the team, I am responsible for modeling of surface, concrete structures such as trenches, sumps, dike walls, ramps and guard posts. I was also responsible in preparing detailed design plans such as paving/grading/site finishing plans, road pavement sections and concrete structure details & sections. I was assigned as DAS (Discipline Application Specialist) for LDK Civil Team in which I maintained and provide solution to software problems and model errors. I am in charge in checking and resolving model clashes using in-house office software. I also conducted SPR (Smart Plant Review) training for new hires and NGP's.

SPC-PPx Tasnee Project Industrial Complex (2007 - 2008) Al Jubail, Saudi Arabia
Revamp of an existing PP Plant to increase the Polypropylene capacity from 450 kta to 720 kta.

Responsible for the routing and modeling of storm water sewer and firewater system. Perform combined underground piping layouts, piping integrity checks, and piping isometric preparation up to IFC, 3D modeling of trenches, sumps, guard posts & guard rails, ramps, curbs, catch basins & manholes. Responsible also in preparing 2D drawings such as CUPP drawings, layouts, paving, demolition & excavation plans, sections & details. Assigned in checking model clashes and coordinating with other disciplines to develop design deliverables.

RODEO HYDROCRACKER EXPANSION Petrochemical Complex (2007) Rodeo, California, USA

Addition of a new 20,000 BPD high pressure Hydrocracker for the production of clean gasoline and diesel in California.

As part of the team, I am responsible for the routing and modeling of underground services which includes closed drain, oily, contaminated, storm sewer, underground utilities, 3D modeling of surface, manholes, catch basins, sumps, curbs, valve boxes as well as guard posts & guard rails using PDS and Inroads. Responsible in creating 2D drawings such as paving & grading, CUPP drawings and standard details & sections. Also held responsible in clash checking of 3D models and perform resolution.

DOW-PIC OL2K Project Petrochemical Complex (2006-2007) Shuaiba, Kuwait

This multibillion-dollar integrated petrochemical complex included construction of an 850,000 TPY ethylene cracker, a 600,000 TPY ethylene glycol unit, a 450,000 TPY ethyl benzene/styrene monomer unit, seawater cooling towers, polyethylene expansion, and the associated utilities and infrastructure.

Responsible for modeling underground piping and structures such as trench, manhole, catch basin, valve box and sump. Creating and updating 2D drawings of Finish Grading & Paving, Sections & Details, Road Profile and Combined Underground Piping Plans. Also performed material take-off for M2 & M3 area and isometric extraction of underground services.
