I have been employed in the construction industry for over thirty years during this time I have undertaken both onshore and offshore projects primarily in the Oil & Gas, Refinery and petrochemical sectors, and more recently power generation & energy.

My skills Include: (Safety)

* Carrying out risk assessments and looking at how risks could be controlled, reduced or eliminated, auditing of on and offshore plants, platforms, operations, suppliers, contractors, civil and site facilities
* ƒnƒnƒnƒnƒn Carrying out training programs in rigging & lifting procedures and developing LOLER lifting plans & risk assessments for routine, simple, complicated and complex lifts in accordance with TI-014.
* planning practical and effective solutions and helping to improve safe working practices, writing and editing of detailed reports, specifications, procedures and audit protocols
* In-house training with managers and employees about health and safety issues bringing contractors up to date with health & safety policies, rules and regulations, including CDM regulations.
* Adopting best practice on site, ensuring work is conducted in compliance and in line with ISO 1401, 1901, 2000 & 0HSAS 18001, standards and comply with COMAH & IADC regulations
* Carry out work offshore in accordance with EP Europe and Sigma 3 HSEQ systems, participation of HAZOP, HAZID & ISO 9001 studies, review and collation of safety control documents and drawings
* Carrying out accident investigations on sites and producing subsequent reports and recommendations, and any near miss / hit reporting and feedback to supervision & management.
* Keeping records of inspections findings and producing reports suggesting improvements where necessary, assisting managers and supervisors with any health & safety issues
* outlining of safe operational procedures which identify all relevant hazards and accurately assess risks

* Ensure the safe installation of equipment, plant and machinery, and the interface of safety related concerns.
* Develop preventative and remedial programmes of health and safety & welfare on site, including training and induction.
* Advising and training a range of specialist areas, e.g. Control of work, isolation, accident investigation, fire regulations, manual handling, hazardous substances, noise, safeguarding machinery, working at height, confined spaces and occupational diseases, asbestos awareness
